Default Switching gear problem

I own a 2003 arctic cat 400 4x4 and recently it has been giving me problems switching gears. Also every time after starting and putting it in reverse or high gear it jerks me forward or backward.

Auto or 5 speed? Choke on? Idle could be to high.

Tell me what all your quad has. Like auto or 5 speed tranny? What ranges hi or low. Temp out side? I'm still guessing idle is part of the problem. Just need a wee bit more info about your quad. Could be dirty air filter to.

Put the stock air filter back in it and see what happens. I'm willing guess the K&N airfilter changes air fuel mixture witch would require rejetting. No problem on the info. Just want to help you if I can.
