3 things so far....

Change the timeout in the Lobby.

Cursor gets "lost" when the chat frame refreshes

which can happen when you're in the middle of

typing a sentence.

You have to mouse back to the text are to continue

typing.

And you still can't change the font size ;)

This chat module is provided to us by Userplane | Flash Chat and Video Chat Software - Web Chat Scripts for Enterprise Messaging, Instant Messaging Software , and because they allow us to use their technology for free they place their ads within the module. I'll see about having them place ads other than dating....

I'll look into the other issues.

The time out has been increased from 10 minutes to 30 minutes. After 30 minutes of inactivity, your session will be timed out and you will need to reopen the chat session.

Also adjusted the message input and number of characters, which may have been causing an issue.

No way to set the idle to indefinite?

What a few of us have been doing on the temporary IRC chat room (while you guys get a handle on QC chat) is staying connected while we're at our workstations, but there's sometimes blocks of 1-2 hours of inactivity.

I was just chatting with ajmboy in the new chat room and experienced the disappearing cursor...but you could have also been making your updates at the time.

I'll keep looking for updates....

Thanks!

I'll set the inactivity to 60 minutes for now and let's test it out over the next week. How exactly is the cursor causing an issue? Do you start typing and it dispappears? Or is it from not typing, and after a while it disappears.

Currently there is no text size change available using this module. I've notified the programmers.

It looks like the frame is refreshing....and that's when you loose the cursor.....and yes, you can be in the middle of typing something when it disappears.

Re: Font size....

I know I can change the resolution on my monitor to increase font size....which ain't happenin'

Ok...I think I see where the disappearing cursor stems from...

It's when the ads at the bottom of the screen refresh.....

I wasn't seeing the ad banners earlier....I am now.....

I've been notified that there is an issue with ads causing this for users using windows XP and Firefox browser. I'm using IE7 and the cursor does not disappear.

What browser and version are you using?

New issue today.....

I can't re-authenticate after timing out....

I open a new tab for chat in Firefox and keep another tab open for the QC forums.....

I used to be able to reactivate by clicking "JOIN CHAT" but no longer able to do so...

Bleh....

USERPLANE might be working on something. The chat actually runs off their servers to minimize server load on our end. (This is one of the reasons why we went with them). They've identified Firefox issues on their end. Try using IE and see if it happens to you.

I'm sure they will resolve it because they also power chats on sites like:

IE's not happening in my lifetime.....

That's why I use Firefox ;)

I'll deal with the FF issues for now...and if I don't like them, my choice not to chat...it's not the end of the world.....

Much thanks for the effort and to listening to your membership!

We've gone back to a modified version of our original chat software since Userplane chat is not being supported moving forward. We've also added a block on the main page to see who is in chat. This chat does not provide web cam chatting but should work error free.

You can clear your flash cookies if you see an old theme or it's not working for you, by visiting Adobe at: Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Website Storage Settings panel

Just press delete all sites in the settings box. This will force all flash objects to be reloaded from websites. Shouldn't be an issue except for some of our old timers...if they are using the same browser and never cleared their cookies..

I have been exploring all the options available, so many, its hard to choose. I have kind of narrowed it down to the Honda Pilot, Subaru Outback, and Kind of looking at the Outlander, although its a little small,  the new one is nice looking. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations or gripes with any of these rides. I have driven Jeeps for the past 25  years and they have been great, but their price point has gotten to high. Expieriences good or bad would be helpful. Thanks!

Just thought I'd start a new thread for newbies to the site!
If you're new here, tell us who you are, where you're from and what you ride!!!
Lets get to know each other a little better shall we?
I'm not new to the site, obviously, but...
I'm Kristin from Denver!!! I ride a 2008 Yamaha Rhino. She's my muddy baby!!!!!! Several aftermarket parts on her. She's good to me! We try and ride every weekend. This weekend we're off to MOAB! :woot:

This is something I'm extremely curious about. Has anyone ever attempted to buy a quad (or any other vehicle) from an impound lot? I've always wondered if this could be a bargain, or a waste of time. Google searches do turn up some helpful results. Looks like the state of NJ holds auctions online which I'd be a bit hesitant about.

My online searches haven't really turned up any results of anyone buying an ATV this way. I'd be really curious if anyone tried this, or knows someone who has. I've actually found a couple pages with online auctions for my state, but none had ATVs.

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

Hi all, from Virginia here. This winter I bought a old Atv to tinker with and have really enjoyed it. Thanks for this forum.
