Tuning tips:
1. Motor sputters when running rich.
2. Motor hesitates, bogs, or backfires when running lean.
If rich at idle to 1/4 throttle, go 1 size smaller on pilot jet. If lean at idle to 1/4 throttle, go 1 size larger on pilot. Use adjuster screw to fine tune. If rich at 1/4 to 3/4 throttle, move clip position up 1 groove on needle. If lean at 1/4 to 3/4 throttle, move clip position down 1 groove on needle. If rich at 3/4 to full throttle, go 1 size smaller on main jet. If lean at 3/4 to full throttle, go 1 size larger on main jet.
While tuning it is best to change one item at a time to focus in on variables and fine tune.
