Default yfz450 timing

I know how to put it in time, i dont understand the tensioner how it works, i know you have to back it out but should the bike be running when im doin this or can it be shut off.
Can someone explain the full process of getting the timing chain tight again

I thought that timing tensioner was spring loaded. Not sure though. I believe you release the tensioner or snug it when the atv is off. NOT positive on that model though.

Have you signed up and looked at: Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA - My Yamaha Signup
