i was wondering about my a arms. will the 87 and later models fit my 86 also will the later model swing arm fit my 86

I think there was a change in '87. Not completely sure though. You may want to check with a supplier for sure.

There was a change in 87. I don't know if the arms will fit or not. Here is a great source of info on the LTs though. QuadracerHQ
I think the swingarm will not totally sure though. 87 is what some call a bastard year. It is unlike all other LTs. The frame is the same as the 88-92 but the motor is different. I haven't been around the 85 and 86s like I have the newer ones. You should be able to find what you need on QuadracerHQ though.
