need help belt lite on

I have a 650 Brute Force New 500 miles

i took a short ride tonight and the belt light came on
I was using 4 low for a while
any help or information greatly appreciated

was it making any kind of noises? did u buy it used because u said it has 500 miles?? or did u buy it knew and put 500 miles on it?? i know this isnt the forum for it but did u go to those trails in duryea,,Pennsylvania that rhull was talking about

Redbeard called me with easy directions to reset the alarm
turns out it was 100 hr warning light to tell ya to service it
it is working now

I am hoping someone will post some information about the place like if tyhey have recently riddin there
because a lotta places ya could ride last year are closed this year
I do not want to be outta state and get tickets and my machine impounded
