The liquid might of been water stuck inside the carrier...possibly. There is a gasket between tje pinch bolts that might be damaged.

Ckeck the condition off the rear sprocket teeth make sure they aent damaged. Lastly you should take apart your rear axle as the sprocket hub might be slipping on the splines

all i was trying to say is if the rear sprocket is moving or not, it's either ther rear end or at the crank... you should be able to somewhat feel it on the bike if it's at one end or the other... yes? no?

its on the rear end i just cant tell if its the sprocket or somethin to do with the bearings in the axle or somethin like tht

the liquid came out from under the bolts wen i lossened them...... if its the gasket wat will it do if i keep drivin it..... the teeth dont look like they r damaged any the chain is just real loose i need to buy a new one.....i had it on concrete blocks and had it in second gear id watch the chain on top of the back sprocket and it would bounce and then make a grinding sound.....

probably best to get the rear on a stand and try isolating the problem. should be able to tell fairly quickly ...

I have never been successful in running a chain drive on jackstands as the chain seems to load up then unload and makes a nasty clanking noise especially when i let off the throttle. When the rear wheels are on the ground (normal driving) the chain is fine. What am I doing wrong?
