I'm having trouble identifying Mark. I know where the mark is in the Stator cover. Is the T at about, the 12 o'clock position in this photo? I've got to buy another Stator cover as the one I have has a hole at the bottom of it. Due to failing eyes, I have a lot of trouble anymore. Thanks! 🙂

I just want to clarify that i was doing the timing correct. I wanted to adjust the valves, so, I removed the spark plug, I removed that little black plastic cap on the side, then, i turned the engine counterclockwise until the "T" lined up with the small groove on the threads where that black cap screws in. Then i checked the valve clearances.
So, what is the "F" mark for?
I hope the "T" was the right mark to use. lol

The small waterline insert for the hose that goes from the water pump cover to the thermostat housing has corroded off. I only need the insert on top and behind the thermostat housing that the hose goes over and can't find just the insert. It looks like it may be pressed in. I've have been told the entire motor housing needs to be replaced. The pic with the red line indicates where the hose and insert would be and the insert looks like the pic of the water pump Any ideas would be really appreciated.

Hey boys, so a little update with my Yamaha, I now have the CDI box that came in and it’s getting really good spark, but when I go to turn it over, I hear a clanking noise that sounds like something is loose, so I took the stator cover off and my flywheel came off the crank and was magnetized on the stator, nothing serious but like it was unbolted. Is there a way I can keep it from coming off when I turn the motor over? I heard you gotta torque it down with an impact but idk if it’ll work for sure and I’m trying to get this bike back on the road/trails, but at the same time, I’m at the end of my rope with it because it’s getting aggy, but if anyone knows how I can make the flywheel stay on, lmk because some help would be gladly appreciated.
