Wouldn't recommend them on ANY quad! Esp. on a ute, The wrong leverage like stated above will add way more stess on ur CV, and ball joints causing a fail. This doesnt mean jumping it either just coming fast down a hill to a flat ground, where ur suspension collapses, would rip ur cv knuckles right apart

No they won't. If you are running 3" spacers on each side maybe. I run them on our 1200lbs Rhino with no issues. I know people that race GNCC in the UTV class with spacers, they jump all day long in their rhino. Never a bent spindle, bent lug, or busted axles, or as you say ripped knuckles.

The info you gave is false.

I recently put some on my Honda Recon 250, which is no where near the beast yours is, but I love mine. It is way less tippy and had a better stance. I do not jump or tear it up to much so maybe that's why mine are working so well. I use my machine mostly for offroading going to and from deer stands as well as plowing snow.

,,,,,I think they are for people that need a False Sense of Security:yes::laugh:

3/4" spacers on the back of each wheel on the rhino made the difference of the rhino flipping on fast turns or sliding and hugging the corner. I can't believe the difference in stability it added to the Rhino.

I added 1" spacers all the way around on my 07 Grizzly 700. It was the single best thing I did on that machine. Handling and stability were greatly improved. I put over 2300 hard miles on that machine, 2000 with spacers and never had an issue. If I bought another Grizz it would be the first thing I put on the machine.

I have been exploring all the options available, so many, its hard to choose. I have kind of narrowed it down to the Honda Pilot, Subaru Outback, and Kind of looking at the Outlander, although its a little small,  the new one is nice looking. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations or gripes with any of these rides. I have driven Jeeps for the past 25  years and they have been great, but their price point has gotten to high. Expieriences good or bad would be helpful. Thanks!

I am working on a basket case for a friend.  It is a 98 Big Bear (YFM350FWB).  It came with a parts machine which is a 96, which I am coming to find out is VERY different from his machine.

Anyway, first thing is first.  I checked compression, 150psi.  Valves are set correctly, and the engine is in time.  I cleaned the carb, and there was some junk in the passages.  It is a chinese carb, which I figured from the lack of markings or lettering altogether.

The bike runs.  It idles ok, but breaks up badly under acceleration.  Pulling a new spark plug shows it is running lean.  White strap, with no black whatsoever.  So I have the carb adjusted with the mixture screw out way too much (about 5 turns), and the diaphragm needle lifted to the top slot.  It is still not getting enough fuel (or too much air).  It backfires through the carb, and cannot get above idle without carrying on.  The carb boot is in good shape, so it isn't pulling any air there.  I did test this as well by spraying ether around the boot when running, looking for intake leaks.

Anything big I am missing here?  I am starting to believe that this chinese carb is the issue.  This quad came with the original carb, which I would like to rebuild and use, but the mixture screw is totally stuck, and stripped way down in its recess.

      Thanks for any assistance.

I have to replace all 4, how much is involved?  Will they slide out of the front yoke? Or, do the boots just slide over the wheel end?

Trying to find service manual instructions on reset of belt light on 2004 Kawasaki Prairie 700. I tried YouTube and none of the videos seem to match the wiring configuration on mine. It is running rough and the only issue I can find is that the belt light is blinking to remind me to service the machine. I can do the service but don't see how to reset the light. Can anyone provide the appropriate pages of the 2004 service manual for me?
