1986 Tri-Z 250....All Stock Except for the DG Pipe and Flat Slide Carb and K&N...Even the Original Tires:eek:

Oh,,,,And the Wife is Happy that "Her" Garage is full again,,,,

It was -25 with the wind chill yesterday here. I spent some time on 3wheelers.org looking at pix and reading the great posts in there. But it made me want to rip the 250r apart and start powdercoating and restoring her. The motor is already a new 80 over rebuild. So I just want to restore the looks.

I also need a motor from my 350x. Know of any leads that might be out there?

Some of the Rides over there make me Drool:o Is the R Stock or have you RE- ENGINEERED it:D Love the R's....Had one New in 86 when I was 16....Now,,,,Everyone has one....So I went the other Way....Not many people have the Z's Especially the 86 like the one above....Anyway,,,,,What kind of Color you gonna Throw at the R???? On the

350X motor.....EXPENSIVE to Buy....Easy 6-800Bones.....Better off Rebuilding the one you have.....That way you know What is in it.... Plus I have no Leads:D

Well,,,,When I posted I had not Heard it Run.....After mixing some Fresh Fuel, Several kicks and then a Pull Start the Fuel pump picked up the Fuel and Wham....She Fired right over in the first 50 Ft..... It is Right and Tight, All 6 gears Are fine, Brakes are Good and the Neighbors are Pissed at me for Rousting them out of bed at 8am on a Bright and Sunny Sunday Morning

Now it fires over First kick and Idles Just Fine.....Its not a "Perfect" Machine by any means but it is a Complete Runner..... A little Elbow Grease and it would be a Nice Start....

Oh yea,,,,, I forgot to mention that this Trike may be up for Grabs in June at our Rampage ride....I might be Raffling it off... Someone is going to get a nice little Trike for 50 Bucks:cool:

I bought an 80 over R motor years ago to put in my 400ex. I ended up going 80 over on the 400ex motor. So when I bought a ATCR with a beyond repair motor (for $200). I had a motor for it. I don't think, I am going to do any re-engineering on it. I havn't thought about color yet. :rolleyes:
