New From NY!

Well Nassau, Suffolk, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island dont touch NY State. Plus if you head directly west off of Long Island you go into New Jersey and then PA. You have to go northwest off of LI, cross a bridge, then your in NY.

Every few years a rebellious group of LIers attempt to get LI to become the 51st state because NYS taxes us so heavily (Manhattan and surrounding area exchange alot of $$$). It never happens and quiets down after a few months.

We are the really hot red headed step child that NY likes to touch in the naughty places

i'm not a political guy, so i really didn't want to be involved in this. i'm just on the sidelines here.... hence my posting and i quote "i don't want to be caught in the middle because i'm an easy target being canadian .... i'll shut up now .... sorry ....." .... talk to your congressman or take a vote, there are alot of things unfair in life, and you have to take it dry most of the time.... just saying ....

      Hey I have a 1997 big bear 350 4x4
I replaced the shifter shaft and the shift arm linkage and the rod when I installed them all I was unaware that you had to line the dot on the shifter shaft with the gap on the linkage arm gap put it all back  together and rode it I can't get it to shift in the right gears  I can move the shift cam by hand and goes in different gears but with the shifter shaft in it riding I can't put it in R or N
Anyone know how to line up the shifter shaft and the shift cam s

I WANTED TO UPGRADE THE CARBURATOR ON MY 1992 BIG BEAR 350, SO I ORDERED A NEW CARB FROM EBAY.  ACCORDING TO THE WRITE-UP IT WAS A GOOD FIT FOR BIG BEARS FROM 1988 TO 1996.  WHEN I REMOVED MY ORIGINAL CARB I NOTICED THAT IT WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE NEW CARB MY CARB HAD TWO THROTTLE  CABLES THE NEW CARB ONLY HAD ONE CABLE.  HOW CAN I MAKE THIS CARB WORK ON MY TWO CABLE THROTTLE?

This is something I'm extremely curious about. Has anyone ever attempted to buy a quad (or any other vehicle) from an impound lot? I've always wondered if this could be a bargain, or a waste of time. Google searches do turn up some helpful results. Looks like the state of NJ holds auctions online which I'd be a bit hesitant about.

My online searches haven't really turned up any results of anyone buying an ATV this way. I'd be really curious if anyone tried this, or knows someone who has. I've actually found a couple pages with online auctions for my state, but none had ATVs.

      Hello,
I was able to repair most of the little problems on my 2006 BRUIN. I still have little things to do...
I changed the Hazard light Switch because it was not locking when pushed and now it is not working at all. When I connect it (not sure of the wiring -4 wires but a lot of connection possible on this HELLA 3916-01 switch-) the flashing lights button (on the handlebar) is acting like the Hazard light switch.

Soon to begin working on a 2002 (i believe) Bruin 350 i recently got back. Reportedly will shut-off while driving it, and blows a fuse (i have not gotten a battery, and begun diagnosis myself yet).
Was told if they change fuse and it goes again for a while until it happens again.
Figured it was worth asking here if anyone has had a similar experience, and determined the cause (worth a shot right?)? TIA.
