I never understood four wheelers. I rode (two wheeled) dirt bikes and raced motocross from age 12 to 28. I never owned a street bike but after working for Harley for five years I just had to get one. Riding on the street was ok but I missed banging off of berms and jumps. I switched to riding Buells, the Harleys didn’t have the performance I was craving. In 2005 a few friends at work talked me into buying a new Yamaha Grizzly. I still didn’t get the four wheel thing. Well, after 1400 miles in the first year I got it! I outgrew the performance of the Grizzly and traded it on a 2007 Can-am Renegade. What a machine! Power, Handling, wow! I now have a Rotax powered Buell 1125R parked next to the Renegade.

I ride at Michaux State Forest and Reading coal land near Shamokin , Pa.

Welcome to the site. You are the second person posting about Samantha. She is known country wide within the ATV community, we are all doing what we can to help. Some with donations, some with prayers., and some will even make it to the ride. It is a noble thing you guys are doing, it should be a given to help others out but in today's society it is not.

Wow! I knew we were getting the word out about Samantha but I had no idea that we were reaching so many people. When I started this I wasen't sure it would get the attention I was hoping for but was I ever wrong. The ride is still 3 weeks away and we have colected alomost $800.00 so far. Glad you guys are aware of it. Please keep Sam and the family in your thoughts and prayers.

I copied and pasted the thread that was started here and have posted it on 3 other atv sites. Little Samantha just might be as popular as the president.

Thanks 'bot...I (we!) really appreciate it!

Samantha's even cuter than VP wannabe Sarahcuda! LOL!!!!!!!

I saw the picture of her and her curly hair, too bad she will lose it. That's just temp. I pray for her and her family often, as a kid I moved to a new town. That's always hard on the little ones, the first person I met there was a girl the same age named Megan. Her and I were best friends for about 3 years until she too was hit with the disease. She did not respond well to treatments and she ended up passing. This story kind of hit home for me.

Tom, it is an absolute honor to help you guys(help them) out. Thank you for putting the info out there. If this would had more people who were like you and willing to lend a hand it would be a much better place.

Stoop this area of Pa. that we live in is know as: " The Valley With A Heart". We may be a little backwards and a bit behind the times but when the call for help goes out everyone responds. I wouldn't trade this area for a million dollars. I still don't have to lock my doors at night because I know my neighbors have my back and I have theirs. When we walk down the street or shop at one of our local markets we still look each other in the eye and say hello. It's hard to run out for milk and bread and be back home in just a few minutes because you run into a dozen or more people you know and start chatting. I always allow myself at least an hour for an errend...lol

I miss that life. I grew up like that. knew everyone on the road. and it was 10 miles long. rode the lawnmower between my grandmas house and mine and wouldn't see a single car.

my mom and a few others had to complain for YEARS to get the county to pave our road instead of having it be gravel, and all they did was pave in front of the houses/driveways mainly to save money, but it did cut down on the dust.

2022 Sector 550, 414 miles on it and the gas gauge reads empty.  I topped off the gas and it didn't change.
There is no fuse that I could find.  No access at the gauge cluster.
Wiring on the top of the tank looks good, properly connected.
Could the sending unit in the tank be stuck or broken?
Has anybody removed the tank lid?  Any tricks?
      Any other ideas?
      Thanks for any help,
      Clyde

If you had to choose one mod that you couldn't live without, or had to recommend one what would it be?

Heres my story. Kinda long. I guess I was a late bloomer when it comes to quads. I had never ridden a quad in my life. Rode Dirt Bikes as a kid growing up. Back in Oct of '06 I found a Mustang on craigslist. Took it for a test drive one morning before work. Fast car. 351 Cleveland. I had planned on meeting the guy again after work. For some strange reason thats still to this day beyond me, I stopped in Hillsboro MotoSports on the way home from work. I had 6 Grand on me. There was a left over '05 sitting by the front door. It was on sale for $4999. It was $5499 OTD. I didnt even look at anything else. I knew nothing about quads accept I thought it really looked coool and I had the money in my pocket to buy it. I was sitting on it when the salesman walked up and asked... "Can I help you?" Without hestitation I pulled 60 Ben Franklins outta my front pocket and said "I want this Quad. Load it up in my truck." It was just about dark by the time I drove away from the shop. BTW, I didnt bother to ask my ol lady if I could buy it. LOL. Anyway, I took it by the house and showed her. She was kinda stunned but not mad. We drove over to a friend of mines house and unloaded it. I took it to the field across the street from his house. HOLY CHIT!!!!! I was surprised by the power. I had it for about 2 weeks and took it to Sand Lake. I was there a few hours and rolled it on a banked turn at the top of the bowl right before you get to the one-ways. When it rolled, I flew off and landed on my belly. The quad came bouncing and landed on my back. For a month I couldnt even walk. I was scared of it. I considered trading it for a 250EX. Went back to the shop. The salesman said..."Dude!!! You dont want a 250EX!!! Trust me. Just get used to it" I still wasnt convinced. I put it on craigslist for $4000. Calls were coming in. I had a guy that wanted to come look at it that evening. I decided to take it for one last ride at Browns Camp before I sold it. I was still afraid of it. After about 5 minutes I started feeling comfortable on it again. I decided right then, I loved my Honda 450 and would learn how to ride it instead of selling it. That was late Nov of '06. Work was slow for a Painter in Oregon. My new job everyday? Going to Browns Camp and ridding my Quad. I bought my Girl Friend an '02 Blaster. I rode my 450 for 4-6 hours almost every single day for 3 months. And yes, I know my way around Browns Camp pretty well. LOL. In March I bought her an '06 TRX250EX (Thank God I didnt trade my 450 for one of those) LOL Since then, I have become totally addicted to quads. I love them. Couldnt imagine not owning at least one quad. Luckily I have two. My "07 was $6500 OTD in July of '07. Bought it for my Girlfriend. Traded in her 250 EX. A month later we broke up. So, I wound up with two Honda 450's.

What are your riding location preferences? Mud Park? Personal Trails? Public Land?

Hey all back again with my 1989 moto 4 250.
After putting a new carb on it it's really sputtery, it has new gas and I'm wondering what to tune on the carb to make it idle better. I've attached a video to describe the issue more. The bike is still work in progress but I think the video gets the point across. Thanks!
