My Mind is Made Up

Recommended Posts

After seeing Wayne Matlock's 700XX in this months QUAD Magazine my mind has been made up. Next spring I will be getting rid of my beloved TRX450, I will be getting the new 700XX. By that time there should be plenty of after-market support.

I spend most of my riding with all for wheels on the ground. I don't really jump too much. That is the only place I really see weight holding it back. I need to test ride both before I make my mind up for sure but Wayne Matlock's ride looks so sweet. I'm beyond the point of needing the fastest machine out. I really want comfort and the power to haul arse if I want to.

The trails I ride, a straight axle leaves you falling asleep on the drive home. On any given day of riding I feel like I just did 100 miles balls out. I used to race desert, I know the feeling. The trails are so rough at times that I'm just bouncing my quad from rock to rock. It will either be the 700XX or the Outlaw 525 IRS.

Congrats on making up your mind! As for the weight , everyone who is crying about it. Throw a leg over it and try it out!!!!!!! A friend said it is

is a great trail rig.

who said we were crying about it. i wouldnt buy it jus b/c the weight wouldnt suit MY needs at all. im sure its a great trail and XC quad. hence why its wayne mattlocks baja quad.

Another thing to think about bot. it gunna cost more cash for upgrading suspension. the shocks on the XX is not adjustable from wat i understand. on the outlaw you wont need to upgrade suspension. its shocks are fully adjustable.

I would go out and get the 700 Raptor.

WOW, are you trying make enemies? J/K I'm a Honda guy, I like the Raptor, plenty of power. I just don't like the ergonomics of Yamaha's rides. Not comfortable to me. Thanks for the input.

I'm like a chick some times. I can't make up my mind even though I said it was. I decided to keep my 450 for a couple more years. I'm having some Elkas built for me!

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

      Hello there
I'm having a problem finding a quality carburetor for a 1993 Suzuki Quad Runner lt-f 250 2x4. I find a lot that have 3-4 star ratings. And all so far don't have the right throttle Cable inlet at the top. The last one I got 4 star on Amazon has a threaded cable sheath rest that could be partially drilled to work. I would prefer to get one I don't have to modify. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!
