My buddy and I decided to make the easy ride to the summit of Pelican Butte. The majority of the trails are flat graded roads but it is an impressive 3800' verticle climb to the summit.

Ready to go!

Several creek crossings on the way.

Still a little snow on the way up

The cinder in the soil causes the snow to look blood red this time of year.

Great views from the +8000' summit

On the way down we took a trail that has a little mud where we found two guys on sport quads having a tough time. My tire fell into a very deep rut and caused me to slowly roll over and crawl around in the mud.

Does anyone use GPS, whether on a device or app to record their ATV trail rides? I have been thinking about a section where our members can upload let's say a .gpx file and share their rides on a google map for others to see where there are riding areas. Not sure if this is something of interest or how much it would be used, so just trying to get an idea.

I have replaced the cracked stator cover on my non-running 2006 LT-F400F that I purchased recently, checked all the shafts vs the service manual and pics and advice here.  I replaced missing gears, bushings and washers, made sure that truth marks were all aligned properly, that the shift cam springs felt like they returned properly, etc.  IAfter installing the new stator cover I checked the transfer lever for proper movement from L-H-R and then cranked it up.  Happily, it runs and changes gears well in L,  but it will not shift into H or R for anything.  I have opened it back up and am going back through it looking for the missing puzzle piece(s) but how can I best check that I have everything right this time before buttoning it back up?

Who agrees with me that Yamaha atv quailty was one of the best well built quailty machines money could buy, then 2007 came rolling in and they have gone to complete sh**. Cutting corners everywhere they can and made such unreliable machines
