2008 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO winch installation

I have a Polaris 2008 Sportsman 500 HO. I started to put my pure polaris winch on Saturday... no problems... until I got to the point to hook up the solenoid. The Red and Black wires that go to the 2 center lugs on the solenoid are incased in moleded plastic, they will not fit on the solenoid due the raised tabs on the top of the solenoid switch. My question is... Do I have the wrong solenoid ? is there an adapter of some kind? or Am I missing something completely in this installation? My Dealer is closed on Saturday after 2 and all day Sunday and Monday. Anyone have any ideas or helpfull suggestions?

wat kinda winch is it? ur best bet would be to call the company that produces the winch. but the solenoid might be wrong is their anyway u can post a pic of the solenoid?

Its a Pure Polaris 2500 lb part #2875879, wife has the camera and shes not home yet.. I might be able to post the photos on Wed. the 7th. I was thinking I might have to make up 2 cables and heat shrink the connections. I do not know... Had to work late and didnt get a chance to call my Polaris dealer today

so the problem u r having is that the power wire the black and red that r supposed to hook up to the solenoid can not because their is plastic over the metal screws that u bolt the wires to
