Default What about the sport ATV's

The LTZ-400 and the LTR-450 have some great reviews and have some top finishes in quad racing. The LTR-450 is built for racing but I beg the differ. It handles great on trails and in the mud. Just need to add some mods to it and it will out run any utility quad on the trail. I was up in duck creek Utah this weekend and went through just about any mud hole there was and it just kept going. Cant wait to get it on the dunes this fall hopefully the weather will cool down.

Yeah I agree that you can tune those up to outrun a utility, but a mudhole...my choice is still a utility quad. You've got some great pics in your gallery! http://www.quadcrazy.com/public/user...0rider/page_1/

You should post a link to them in the pictures forum at http://www.quadcrazy.com/atvforum/pi...-videos-board/

I can outrun just about every thing but a well modded Banshee, but my TRX500 is just about useless in deep mud, even with good mud tires, the 4x4's are best in the mud, and they can be very fast too, ever seen the Can-Am Renegade 800, those things haul ass.

Yeah theres a myth out there where you need to buy a-arms, tie rods, and axle to narrow a LTR for GNCC racing. most tracks are usually no narrower than 50" at its narrowest locations. With swapping my LTR hubs for z-400 hubs, I was able to narrow the rear width by 1.5" and when ording my Hipers I bought a 4-1 offset for the front and a 4-5 offset in the rear. As a result, my LTR is 47.5" in the front and 47" in the rear. Most gncc racers like there quads between 45-46" I like mine at 47" because it still corners like its stock width at 49"

Do you sill run the stock tires?, if so, do you have any issues with ground clearance?

No i run 22s in the front and 20s in the rear. The MX tires do not provide enough clearance. I tore off swingarm skids even with the 20s on.
