Rear tire and Sproket

4 posts in this topic

I thinking of changing rear tire size to 20x11x9 from 22x10x9, does anyone recommend a sproket size change or just leave it alone. I like having low and mid range more than top end speed, but do not mind running across and open field sometimes too.

Thanks

I ride a TRX450. I just went from 20x10x9 to 20x11x9. I went from stock to Razr2s. I felt no power loss, the only change I felt is my quad hooks up like you wouldn't believe through the turns.

if u want more bottom end power then u go up on tire size but you loose some of your top end speed, as far as back sprocket sizes, if u go up on teeth in the back then u gain more accerlation and loose some top end speed. and the front sprocket is the other way around.

Im doing the opposite. Going from 20's to 22's. Front sprocket change is easier and cheaper. Get the tires on first. If it seems geared to low with the 20's on go up one tooth on the front sprocket.
