Speed depends on the rider. If the KFX has a crappy rider, you could beat it, but the same rider on both, the KFX chassis is faster. Reliable can't be compared. There is nothing to compare. I could totally ruin a EX motor in 5 minutes if I wanted, same with the KFX. Or you could make them last. It depends on how you ride and how you maintain your bike.

Since the introduction of the 450s, i noticed that 400ex parts are getting harder to come by is it true for the Kiwi and Puki also? also what about resale value. Just because a quad is faster in a straight line doesnt mean its a better quad. Anyone compare trail worthiness? comfort? also why is liquid cooled better Rappy?

here is my 2 cents i just looovve the ex cause it always comes back for more of a beaten and doesnt ever give me trouble...... having said tht i have an ex and everyone around here does so i was wantin somethin diff... meaning another 400 tht nobody has and wat a better bike than one liquid cooled and has reverse tht i could also use for trails and dragging....... heres how i am i absolutely love to ride trails having said tht i also like to show up my friends wen they want to drag...... my ex can take several tht ive raced but wen it comes to certain preds and other things it doesnt always win......... which ive heard the ltz and kfx are faster, all years have reverse, and they are liquid cooled so i am open to suggetions..............for now im just kinda exploring but you wait wenever the ex came out it was top dog in all areas..... right now honda is just cooling their heels..... they will come up on the list in time and it will be just like the ex was...... they will improve wayyy better than everyone else so u should keep ur pockets ready cause eventually they will come through:wink::yes:

Having had all three of these machines I stayed with the Z400. Maybe it was because I had my first real quad in 86 (a 250 quad racer) maybe not. As a personal preference the Zuk was more comfortable, power was good and I enjoyed the handling. It's really what you like, I don't care if your machine is faster than mine, I just wanna ride.

This is something I'm extremely curious about. Has anyone ever attempted to buy a quad (or any other vehicle) from an impound lot? I've always wondered if this could be a bargain, or a waste of time. Google searches do turn up some helpful results. Looks like the state of NJ holds auctions online which I'd be a bit hesitant about.

My online searches haven't really turned up any results of anyone buying an ATV this way. I'd be really curious if anyone tried this, or knows someone who has. I've actually found a couple pages with online auctions for my state, but none had ATVs.

I am in the process of puting it back together after replacing the DPS gearbox.
The manual I have states that it will need to be flashed by a dealer. Is this still true?
Also , I have a mystery bolt That I cannot remember where it goes. M6x 70 or so.  Hex head with a flat washer.I will try to attach a pic.
Pic is no go for now....Cox issue I will try again later
      TIA

It seems every ATV i look at to buy used has no title, does everyone loose there title, or do they change hands so often the title is lost in the shuffle. The ones that do have titles are triple the price. I am new to buying used quads is this pretty standard procedure.
I know all quads are good and tough but thought it might be good to hear opinions as to what member think is the best, from your experiences.
