Welcome to the site. I own a TRX450R. The only complaint I have with the 450R is stock suspensions sucks. There is plenty of power through the whole gear range. Plenty of aftermarket parts. One more negative, the stock dunlops are horrible. They make the quad VERY tippy when powersliding. I set of Razors will take care of that.

My cousin owns a pred. 500. I have done minimal riding on it but it screams. Power wise, the acceleration it is bit better and the top end is a bit more. These are to be expected with the bigger motor and similar gear ratios. I don't know to much else to give you educated info on the Polaris.

Have you considered the Outlaw 525? It comes with a KTM motor and Fox Shocks. Plus it is one of the fastest production quads.(acceleration, top speeds are about the same due to government regulations.

I see, I would go with the 450R. Find a good deal on some wider a arms. Have you looked at Suzuki's LT-R450? It is a great race machine, it already comes with 18" rear wheels which is a great size for track racing. It already has a 50" stance compared to the TRX's 46" width. That +2 on each side is the difference between flipping the quad in a turn or not.

I was looking to buy a new ATV.
I was debating between Polaris sportsman 450 and Honda rancher.
      Polaris it a bit cheaper.
But can you tell me which one will have more demand on the used market? Which one will keep it's value better?

on my honda trx 500 we have no power to the ignition switch for starting or ignition
we have lights and horn working
      all fuses are fine
have traced through the harness and cant find any broken wires or bad connections
from what we have gathered so far the pgm fi unit is not sending any power to the fuel pump relay to power everything up.
if we put power direct to the ignition switch plug then everything works but wth the key in the off position.
does this sound like a faulty pgm fi unit?

Hey everyone, I just picked up a 91 trx350 4x4 with a blown top end. I don't know what happened to the poor thing but the cam journals that were round are oval shaped now. I also bought a running engine from a 92 trx350 4x4 to swap into the 91. Is there anything in particular I should be checking while the engine is out and I have good access to it and the frame?
