  1. Thanks for all the input! Now I have something to shop for. My brother was right, the forums are good info, and good people with real world experience. I will let you know when I purchase, and hopefully figure out how to put my picture of my new quad as my avatar. Thanks again for all your help!
  2. What do you recommend? I am an intermediate rider, but this will primarily be used for trail riding, and hunting. I am 175 lbs. and 5'11. My last ATV was a '92 TRX300 FourTrax 300 Honda ATV, but it was at least 10 years ago when I sold it. Not going to be extremely aggressive riding, just want to get back out there.
  3. Thanks Stoopidbot1, I will talk to a local dealer and avoid the unknown quad. Thanks for steering me in the right direction.
  4. BuckBilly, Honestly, I was actually just looking for information. Do I write like a Spam Bot? I was a little excited in my first post, cause I thought I might have found a good deal that you guys might have had some better insight on. No hard feeling about the fly on crap comment. Not sure how it is in Indiana, but in Tennessee, The Husbands drive the 07's and the Wifes drive the 02's. LOL just poking a little fun at cha. I can't afford either one of those rides.
  5. Did you read the press release? I very seriously doubt that Yamaha is making it very public that they are in with the Chinese manufacturering.
  6. The 300 4x4 is $4,495 to your door on the site that I will not mention again so that people will know I am not trying to sell for them. Someone else may have them cheaper. I guess I know how I ride and how most people like to ride them hard, and if I buy used then I am taking the same chance as I am buying a new one of these. Maybe I should wait and save up some more money.
  7. I was wanting to buy one . . . but so far everyone has made me more than a little skeptical. I really can't afford the big name brands at the moment, but I could probably wait and get a good deal on a used honda 4x4 around here this winter. Thanks again for all the input.
  8. LOL, thanks for the nice responses. My brother told me to get some opinions before I bought one. He told me that there were very knowledgeable people on discussion forums that would probably know something about that particular model. I have joined at least 4 different forums, and didn't want to type it again. The power of cut and paste. I guess I was hoping to find someone who already had one to see if they broke down all the time, or if it was really a good value for the money. Looks like so far no one on this forum owns one, so I am not sure if I want to be the guinea pig.
  9. Here is the press release that I read when I posted earlier. China Begins UTV Production - Dealernews I googled "linhai yamaha press release" and it is on the first page.
  10. Just looking for some input. There are other sites that have these atvs as well, but this one just had video and better pics than the others. They are here as well ATVs,and CUVs that are good quality vehicles and available at bargain prices. We carry Yamaha linhai and Hensim products.I just can't afford to pay the premium price for the name. Have you heard of this brand before?
  11. Found some interesting news online when I googled Yamaha yesterday. Not sure when this went down, but Yamaha bought a percentage of Linhai (a Chinese manufacturing company) and are providing technology for Scooters, and more importantly for this forum, ATV's. Seeing as how not everyone can AFFORD the crazy prices that have skyrocketed over the past 15 years. Yamaha and Linhai are trying to produce a more affordable model by manufacturing out of CHINA! I found a pretty substantial savings at RidersWholesale.com over what they want you to pay at the local Yamaha Dealer. Just spreading the word. Let me know what you think about this. You can check out the Technical Specs Here
