  2. Turns out choke was partially sticking. Not enough you could tell at idle but would fall on its face at mid range. Thanks for the post
  3. Cleaned carb on my 300 fourtrax over weekend. Cannot seem to get (mid throttle) stall out of it. Does pilot adjustment mean that much in regular elevation (oklahoma) i set it where it was (2 1/4) turns out
  4. My 300 fourtrax had similar problem with (lights dim) Discovered bad wire coming out of (one) of the two fuses near battery. Wire appeared OK (outside) Inside was bad so you may have to use OHM meter to check out
  5. I did the test on alternator (per Clymers manual) and it show up as OK. Simply no voltage is going to replentish battery it appers. No change in voltage at battery when engine is accelerated (plus headlights go dim) Thanks for the inpurt!
  6. Is there a simple test (with multi meter) to determine if regulator/rectifier on Honda 300 Fourtrax is bad? I was told that battery voltage will show slight increase when RPM raised to 3000. My bike will not increase It starts/runs great but headlights get very dim when RPM is raised. Any details would be appreciated!
  7. Thanks for ths info DirtDemon. Try this over the weekend
  8. Purchased a 1993 300 TRX (2 wheel drive) Problem i am having is the headlights "blink" somewhat at idle but get very "dim" when RPM is increased. Grounding issue possible or something wrong with volt regulator. Any help greatly appreciated!
