I have a 2007 700 EFI that I purchased new. It broke down 9.5 miles out on the trail the day I bought it and has been in the shop in two states almost ever since. All warrenties are now expired and I have a quad that still does not run. I have only managed to put 304 miles on it in 3 years. I am a auto mechanic and have technical back ground. I maintain, repair, and build all my other quads and bikes as well. This one has been under warranty and the princable of it has kept me taking it back to the dealers. Now it's up to me to repair it. To start out, it is flashing codes 41, 42, and 43. Can anyone give me code descriptions? Thank you. Larry

AL righty I did some trading around this weekend and ended up picking up a few 4 wheelers for cheap. I ended up with this one for $500 in it total and well the guy told me it dropped a valve. I haven't really messed with it at all. But this weekend I am going to try and start working on it some to get it running before winter time frame. So what I am asking is a couple of questions. 1. First off where do I start I tried pulling the pull cord and could not get it to move at all. 2. I need to get a service manual for this 4 wheeler where can I get it downloaded for free? 3. what do I need to look for and how do I go about this really. I do have experience with 4 wheelers but this one is a little different to me than others because its a V2 and I have no clue where to start internal on the engines. Most of my experience is on the outside portion of troubleshooting on theses wheelers. Please no smart butt answers as i am new to here but just wanted opinions on where to start. looking for a service manual someone had the machine in pieces when we bought it and everything is cobbled i need the manual to be able to trace wires and see schematics have tried many times with no results to get this info even from moderators who have broken links to the service manual with no replies i desperately need this

Sometimes gas will drip to almost steady flow out of the port in the bottom of the carb bowl. Ive taken the carb apart and bent the float, but still, from time to time, gas pours or just drips out. Any ideas?

I have a problem. My son decided to replace his battery in a 2007 artic cat 700efi. when he did he got a new battery that was clocked wrong and hooked it up backward red to - black to +. the rectifier mounted behind and under the rear fenders blew apart. I replaced the reg/ rectifier and engines starts but I have a short to ground. v ohm meter between neg cable and neg terminal, 12 volts, Ive pulled the fuses 1 at a time with no drop in voltage disconnected the relays and the ecm, still no drop in voltage to ground. Ive loocked over as much of the harness as possible looking for damage but cant find any. Im just wondering where to go from here. Got any ideas Thanks in advance Rick

We'll folks I have a 2006 artic cat 400 4x4, here while back the fuel pump went out and I thought it may be a bad plug wen I went to pull it out, it broke, and trying to take the easy way out I got it out with a ease out:/ we'll to make a long story short I started the bike after doing a gravity feed set up ( haven't replaced fuel pump) and it was tapping real bad, then stopped and ran perfect, then would start a lil then stop and run perfect......... Any suggestions maybe porsolin or the firing pin may have fell in ??? But why would it clear up?...... Rekon I need to pull the head? What kind of Job is that, I'm not really up to date mechanic, any options would be greatly appreciated

I bought this 4 wheeler last year brand new no hours right off show room floor. It was a 2007 but it was what I was looking for in regards to power and ground clearance. I have 35hours on it. Replaced the fan and now fan does t come in like before. Replaced battery three times in 1 year. After running it for 10 - 15 minutes the digital screen goes blank and the EFI goes to blinking. Just put a brand new battery in today and cranked it drive it about a mile and back. Turned off and fan wasn't on and went to crank it back and EFI was flashing and won't start. Any suggestion as to the problem. It's deer season and had to sit home openin day of muzzleloader season because of this problem AGAIN

I have a 07 artic cat 500 4x4, The dash started flashing " VOLT" and after a few minutes the entire dash goes blank. Any suggestion what it might be? Thz in advance

hey guys my primary clutch the inner fixed half is loose and wiggles around but i cannot tell whats wrong what should i be checking according to schematics all the parts are right

My quad wont start after warming up unless I pump the gas pump lever mounted on the carburetor. This is even after taking the carb apart and cleaning it. Also, the idle is not consistent. I have to adjust it both up and down after the engine gets warmed up. Anyone have a similar problem and found a solution?

I have a 2009 Arctic Cat MudPro EFI 700 ATV, it is located in Battle Ground, WA - I bought this amazing 4 wheeler for $9000 ($9,500 after taxes) and only had about 6 months to ride it. I took it out about 20 times in those 6 months. I then moved away to another state to attend college. The ATV has been kept by a friend of mine and not ridden for the last two years. It has very low miles and hours on it. It is in better than fair condition, I loved it so much that I had kept planning to come get it and bring it to my new state but due to a busy schedule I decided that won't be possible in the near future. So instead of letting it sit without a home and someone to ride it, I decided to let it go for a very cheap price. I am asking $4,500 firm. When pricing it I searched all around the internet and craigslist to see what others are selling theirs for, they were ranging from $6,000 to $9,000 I did not find any priced as low as what I am pricing at, feel free to search around for yourself to see what I mean. My friend who is keeping it for me has the title. He is willing to show you and let you test drive the 4 wheeler. If you are considering buying this amazing machine, hurry because at this price it is bound to go very very fast, it should be going home with you and you know it! I just purchased a 2006 Artic cat 400 4x4 auto trans ,and first thing it had sat a while so I cleaned the tank and boiled the carb out put back together and got it cranked but it will not take but half throttle before it Boggs , so I pulled the carb put inline filter and cleaned the carb again I boiled it overnight in carb cleaner in the gallon jug took out washed off and blew out ran small wire thru everything and put the jets back in and all back together,still Boggs at half throttle going down the road I know carbs is clean.put a new plug and coil in it and still did the same thing ,then all at once no spark so would not crank checked all wires for shorts none found then I turned my key switch to we're the lights were on and it sparked but with the key switch in position with light off it want spark so it runs with the key switch turned to lights on .but it still boggs what the hell ! I have been a auto master tech for 22 years and worked on just about everything just seeing if anyone would have any clues on these dam Artic cats ! Thanks

I can't get my artic cat to start, replaced solenoid & starter and the solenoid just clicks when you pull the brake handle and push the starter. Any Ideas as to what is wrong Thanks

i have a warn winch, and when i got it stuck i was using the winch to pull it out and was tht stuck where it couldnt pull it out with the winch alone!!! so i thought id give it some throttle while operating the winch and when i did, the word volt started flashing on the display screen and it lost power started spitting and sputtering and cut off!!! why did it do this???? is it because it drained the battery of power and didnt have enuff juice to operate efi ???? hopefully someone can answer this and hopeffully tell me how or what to do to fix the poroblem!!!!!! much ablidged!!!!

Cat won't run again. A year and a half ago it quit running. Replaced spark plug started ran 10 min. then backfired and quit. Took to dealer replaced fuel pump. Ran good until last week. Have same problem again. Is this a problem withthe 07's? pumps are damn expensive!

First a hello to all. First time poster as I just recently found this forum. I have a 2008 500 Artic cat that recently had to go into the shop. Problem was the carb was gummed up from bad gas after sitting for several weeks. I always use Sea Foam and Sta-bil as a stabilizer and figured that was all that was needed but apparently not. Couple mechanics at the shop made a few recommendations for when I knew the cat would be sitting for several weeks. One was to put a fuel cutout valve between the fuel pump and carb and close it and allow the engine to run until it quits. Another recommended to just drain the fuel bowl when parking it. Yet another said high octane gas will stay stable a lot longer than the regular unleaded. Don't know if that last one is true or not. So the meat of my question is do any of you have any tricks of the trade to preventing this problem as my cat does stay parked for long periods at a time, especially during the winter months. my 07 wont run with out cutting out till i hit the override in high. it does not do it in low HELP please its like it in reverse the battery was dead charged it up and now it is doing this did not do it when i parked it in november?????

Artic Cat stutters and I had to keep pumping the gas to keep it running and now it has quit altogether. Have had a mechanic friend take it apart and clean and check everything and it still stuttered. Pulled the cdi box and put it on the other cat and that one ran fine with that cdi box. Any ideas as to what it could be?

I have a 2006 700 EFI. 4x4. I have a charger on the battery and the display lights come on but the digital does not work and the motor just cranks and doeant turn over.

2006 400 auto-engine begins to stumble/retard ign. after riding various amounts,all speed ranges-ONLY HAPPENS IN HIGH RANGE-NOT LOW RANGE . Any ideas? Owners manual say there is a rpm limiter in the cdi box, but it occurs mostly at 15-30 mph.
