I have an 03 ltz 400 that has a crack in the left engine case right by the shifter. Wanting to know if that is a common problem with the motor? Thanks!

just bought a 91 big bear 4x4. if i go too fast it locks up and the rear wheels will not turn. if i put it in reverse and back up a bit it "resets it" and i can keep going. does this sound like a tranny issue? diff issue? or transfer case issue? i will tear it down but if you guys have an inkling of what could cause this issue it would give me a place to start regards, VikingTrad3r.

Hey I have just recently purchased a 1985 Yamaha moto 4 200 and found that the air filter case is not only busted open but also missing the filter and element. I have searched for these parts online and have yet to find any out there for sale. I was wondering if there is a way to make my own air filter case with filter or some way to go about fixing this problem. Any help would be much appreciated thank you . Can post pictures if need to

throwing oil from crank case... cannot figure out wth the problem is to save my life! please help! thanks! -
I just got a banshee that had been a project and the person lost interest. Long story short, the bottem is complete and together, the jugs doesn't have the new sleeves in them yet. New sleeves are to fit stock 65mm pistons. Does the new sleeves need any kind of work to accept the new pistons and rings such as honing or bevelilng the top lip? Does the jugs go into the sleeves in a specific way? Does the jugs need a small bore to accept the new sleeves?

I have scored a 1999 bayou 300 for free. It has been setting for years (2) but it was too good to pass up. I have found the usual problems, dirty tank ,clogged pitcock, gummed up carb. etc. I also noticed a oil leak. I lifted the front of the quad up high so I could get a good look at what is going on. I wiped down the case and found something im not sure about. I found a hole in the case at the front and down low. It does not look like it was hit or damaged from riding. The hole is about the width of a penny and about half an inch long, it is located where the case halfs are put together. I thought it could be a vent of some kind but to me it seems to be to low. It would get full of mud and water. I haven't put any money into the quad yet so now is the time to answer this question. Thanks for any help.
