I hadn't driven my Kodiak for a two months, and since it was low on fuel, the first thing I did was filled it up to maybe 7/8 full. Getting ready to start it, I rotated the fuel selector switch to "on" and within seconds I smelled and saw fuel dripping onto the floor. I quickly turned it off and the fuel gradually stopped - I can repeat this. The fuel is flowing from the hose that is connected to the bottom of the carb, and routes around to the left side toward the wheel well. Any idea what's going on here? It ran fine the last time I had it out. Thanks...

Hi all, my second post here I got an old Yamaha 88 moto 4 and I have a problem with my overflow hose from the carb. When I put the gas switch to ON a big amount of gas is leaking from the overflow...so I start using my quad with the gas switch to RESERVE wich is also leaking but less than in ON position. I dont ride a lot..but in a week I empty my gas tank. Strange. I never clean my carb because Im new to quad world and dont have the service manual...so I need you point of view. Thanks guys!

Hi All, This is my first ATV and I'm picking it apart to learn about it. I noticed this tube hanging and can't figure out what it is. Can someone ID it for me and tell me where it plugs on to? It's a 2000 Xpedition 425. (Blue arrow points to the one I'm talking about.) I'm also looking for some real basic parts diagrams so I can learn more about this thing. If someone knows of anything similar to what I've posted for a Jeep feel free to point me in the right direction. Thanks!

I bought our son his first quad last week, we took it out today, rode for almost 2 hours no problem. We stopped at an overlook area and when we went to leave his bike wouldn't start. He was parked on a pretty steep incline, so we coasted it to a flatter area. Still nothing. looked around for a bit, tried a few mins later and it was fine... Rode another 5 mins and it just cut out, let sit for 5 and would start back up, did this maybe 3 more times and finally I got to tow strap and pulled him out. Got back home to untrailer it and it started just fine. I checked the plug, looked clean, checked the gap, made a small adjustment. Plenty of oil, coolant and fuel. I did run it out of fuel before this trip and had to switch to the reserve... I took the fuel filter out and blow trough it both ways. I drove it up and down the street and seams to run great... We are planning on taking a long trip in the morning, but dont want this happening again... I was looking at the carb and it raised a question for me. On the left side on the carb, near the top, by the CKG stamp is a nipple, looks like a hose should be attached there...there isnt. what goes there and could dust be getting in there and causing the stall? Like I said, I ran it up and down the street since I have been home, and it seams fine now, but then again it seamed fine for the first 2 hours we were out today too. Thanks for any ideas!!

I installed a SuperTrapp Mudslinger and a K&N yesterday and took my AC 400 out for a test ride today to see how it was running. During my ride, I noticed a fuel leak that appears to be coming from the carb vent hose. The carb is bone stock, and hasn't been touched. I wanted to see how it was running before planning any jetting. What does this mean? How worried should I be?
