Sand Lake Oregon
Posted On 02/13/2007 18:57:02

The trip to Sand Lake was short but fun. We went down for the day, but it took so long to get loaded and ready to leave we didn't make there till 10. Most of the Sand was packed enough for regular tires, but the paddles made it that much more fun. After all the upgrades I did, I managed to get into 5th gear and hit about 65 to 68 on the sand. Plenty fast for now...  I need to readjust my handlebars so they don't stick up so far, but all in all it was a really fun trip. I did manage to roll it once, but it was a really slow roll on a high banked corner. My front tires wanted to go up hill and didn't care what I wanted to do. I think all the rolling my quad likes to do has something to do with the width of it.  I can't wait to hit the dunes again.

New Quad on the way

Handle Bars

So I ordered my Handlebars from RockymountainATV for about 60 bucks. I bought the "Pro-Taper SE Handlebar ATV High Bend Platinum Grey" style, and they are sweet. I still can't try them out yet because I had to return my Nerf Bars because of some bad welds. Once I get my Suzuki back together, I will check the knee clearance and hopefully I can put my Thumb Throttle back on. I have been buying all my Accessories from Rocky Mountian ATV, and they have helped me out every time I needed them. I would recommend them to anyone.

I had to order a new rear Disk, and pads for the brakes after I noticed the Disc was bent. Apparently I hit something pretty hard. Next item on my list... Yup Swing Arm Skid Plate. I have to wait till after christmas to see what I am getting so I don't end up with Two.

I think its time for some Sand Lake Oregon Action...
