So the summer series of MX/SX is coming to a close and I must say I'm really looking forward to doing some indoor races! I can't believe that I am the reigning championin the Women's Quad class of the Hot Summer Nights Series down here and soon to be the camp of the the same class at 800MX. It has been an incredible summer with tons of highs and a few lows....let's not forget about those bruises, scrapes, and gashed up knees.
I've learned a lot this summer....a lot about life, love, and riding....and not to sound cheesy or oh so in love, but, my husband has shown me a lot of what it is to really live life and live it to it's fullest. I am so proud of where I stand today as not only a wife, but as a racer......I may not be as good as him...or most guys out there (for now!!) but everyone's got to start somewhere and I thank God I have one of the best teachers he could have given me.
So now, as the summer series comes to a close....indoor starts...harescrambles start..and a whole new journey begins....one thing I know is...if it involves adrenaline, pink & black gear, four wheels and a damn good time....I'm there....I only wish I could do it more.
