    • From the post I quoted it looks like the stator plate has to go on in a specific position ( otherwise your timing would be off) I’m not sure what it looks like from you perspective, did it have some indexing marks or anything? Also, are you using the stock fuel pump or do you have it directly run from the fuel tank to the carb?
    • Same here. Guess it could also be the front or rear diff since it's full time 4wd. Any of those locking up would lock up the whole thing. The front diff was ran dry by previous owner so we're working through that.
    • That would prob a better road to go down (shift mechanism).  The locking up bothers me I wouldn’t think it would lock up unless there was an issue with the drive train itself that would not correct itself.  I’m also surprised that the motor didn’t get damaged by such a sudden stop.
    • Just a guess on throwing 2 gears bc I had a 700r4 do that in a 90s truck. Of course, that was automatic.  Could be the shift mechanism out of wack also.
    • Wow that’s a little scary having the wheels lock up.  Why would you think it threw two gears ? Strange to say the least.  On the clutch my guess  is the centrifugal clutch maybe having an issue with worn plates.
