Since I am military, i have mine insured through USAA. They cover collision damages, theft, storage damage, transportation damage, a bodily injury for anyone riding my quad. My buddy has it also and they covered his repairs on his brut force 750.

I tried geeting insurance through geico because they are a sponsor of the gncc circuit but wouldnt insure me because i raced.....they said they sponsoring was just for advertisment. So they lost the insurance on my truck, quads, snowmobiles, and toy hauler.

I tried to get insurance on my LTR450 and it was with USAA and I think they quoted me like 500.00 every 6 monts thats more than my truck. If it was cheaper I would. I am the only one that rides my bike but what if you have a hit with another quad? before too long it will be like car insurance espically if your at large gatherings like the sand dunes on weekends. Who knows what will happen.

i used to have insurance onmy bike but after i really looked into it insurance really doesnt cover all that much when you think of what will actually happen out there in the trails like colliding with another rider...which they wont cover you btw....the only thing that insurance covers up here in canada is fire and theft...im not worried about either so i pulled my insurance plus i saved a $1000 a year...it just seemed like a waste of money...plus they always want the whole year paid in full...lets face it some people just dont have thousands sitting in their bank accounts...i know if my bike ever gets stolen ill have to worry about it but my bikes under lock and key...the rappy is the only thing i own that doesnt have insurance...

Have coverage on the quad and trailer......until I do more research, my line of reasoning is better safe than sorry here in NY.

Plus, most, if not all of the charity/poker runs require NYS reg and insurance.....and I won't even start to talk about NYS reg!!!!!!

I use Progressive on my new quad and no insurance on the old one.I'm high risk(too many speeding tickets in my project car).It costs me 500 per year for full coverage plus bodily harm insurance.I've started slowing down on the streets and am looking for ways to get faster in the dirt lol. After I get the old quad to the point where it's rideable more than broken I'll probably get it insured also...

QUADCRAZY has been around over 10 years now and there a lot of members that have come and gone. We had a PM message going so I decided to start a topic. If I miss anyone, please post. Anyone can post, even if you are not an old member, but please keep to the theme of updating us on what you are doing now, what's new, where you are hanging these days, etc.

Every so often, we here at QUADCRAZY, come across members who have done something creative with their profile pages. When this happens, we like to "FEATURE" these members to our community. Featured members can be viewed at http://www.quadcrazy.com/public/browse/mode_featured/
In addition, "Featured Members" are shown on the front page of this site!
Take a look at their creative profile pages. If you would like to have your page featured, please post here to have us take a look.

Over the past year, we have made some significant updates to QUADCRAZY and have focused on the forum mostly, since it is the most active part of this community. We've also updated our gallery section so members can easily share photos, added a downloads section for members to share things such as ATV manuals, added a leaderboard and a reputation system. In addition to that, there have been many changes to how members access QUADCRAZY, especially on mobile screens. We've also added login integration with popular social networks such as facebook and twitter. We've made it easier to post, message members, and manage memberships.
QUADCRAZY launched as a much simpler website back in 2014 and 13 years later, we re still at it. In that time, many users have moved on and many new users have joined. The challenge for sites like this is to keep them current and draw members back to contribute and participate when the big social networks take up more of that "online time" these days.
We have some cool new features planned for September that will bring in things like:
Copy and Paste into the editor when typing. Better embedding within posts using just urls (we already auto embed from some sites and our own content). A new recent topics view for the forum. Fluid forum view. New reactions to content to complement the like button. Device management so you manage how you login to QUADCRAZY. ATV Clubs where are members will be able to start their own clubs (public or private) with their own forum. What we would like to know from our members is what to improve, what to add, etc. What do you like and/or dislike? Would you like to see additional website colors/themes, different website layout, maybe wider? Do we need other forum sections, do we need other community sections? Things like this we are interested in hearing about and if its something that can be done to make this place better for everyone, maybe we can do it.
So please feel free to post in this topic, your feedback of our ATV community. 😁

I have a 1988 300 Honda FourTrax, All wheel drive.
My brother and I were fixing up this quad. We put a brand new battery and fuses in and it was running fine until we put the quad into reverse. As soon as it was put into reverse all of the electrical cut out and power wasn't making it to the head unit anymore and both of the brand new fuses popped. We figured there might have been a short from the starter or solenoids, but they are all working properly. At this point we don't know where to start looking for where the short could be. I'm just wondering if anybody has had the same issue or knows of similar issues that could cause these electrical shorts?

Not satisfied with the commercially available versions, Jonathan recently built an ATV spring compressor.
In this video, he demonstrates using it to remove & re-install the spring on an ATV coil-over shock absorber.
Mistake in video - the coil-over shock is not quite a McPherson strut.
If you are inspired to build your own spring compressor, feel welcome to use any ideas from this video.
Thanks for watching! Resurgence Small Engine Inc.

Gibbs Technologies Ltd, the world’s only High Speed Amphibian (HSA) technology specialist, today unveiled a prototype of the first commercially viable high-speed amphibian Quadbike/All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) - Quadski.
Quadski is the third demonstration of Gibbs’ HSA technology following the successes of the Aquada and the Humdinga. It is capable of travelling up to 50 mph (72 kph) on land and water and makes the transition at the flick of a switch.
Commenting on the launch of the Quadski prototype, Alan Gibbs, the founder of UK based Gibbs Technologies Ltd. said, “Quadski is both exciting and practical with a multitude of uses”.
“I know consumers will love the fun of driving a Quadski on land one minute and then head straight into the sea or river the next. But there is a very serious side to Quadski as well: emergency services and aid workers will be able to reach areas and people no two or four wheel drive vehicle could reach.”
