I'm the same way, my pc is always on and I just move the mouse and go to site. This reply is because I received an email notification and saw it from my phone, and lately have been using my iPhone 5 to just reply on this site and it's auto logged me in, so it's very easy. Sometimes I use Tapatalk. The auto correct on my phone is driving me crazy though...lol.

I find Tapatalk kinda irritating lol

This is the active topics page from hardcore sledder.  It's different software but you'll get the idea. It just takes any thread from the entire site that's actively getting replies and puts them here

@fartknocker check out this new feature, very similar.

I know Im new here but ive been trying to engage here and a few other forums daliy. I have found in just the last few weeks these forums to be extremely helpful. With a positive attitude as a whole toward all of our mutual passion. I blame the Rise in popularity of  the UTV's (joto side by sides) to be the real reason of the decline in Quads.

That's a good point @DemonQuad666 about the rise of UTVs, but I think the other culprit are some of the large social networking sites like Facebook and the overall decline of people wanting to share on sites like this. Years ago, you would get more people posting pictures, rides, & videos. Today you mostly see people in forums asking for technical help and manuals which is fine, but I wish more people would share pics and such also. Someone is out riding and they see something cool, they are more than likely to post it on facebook these days.

I agree its the social networks. Many forum boards I am on are pretty much dead now. This one has more activity then others ones.

I don't think its because of the popularity of the UTV's Social media sites are easy to share pictures and stuff compared to message boards. A lot of the stuff I do is not ATV related so I don't post it here.

This is something I'm extremely curious about. Has anyone ever attempted to buy a quad (or any other vehicle) from an impound lot? I've always wondered if this could be a bargain, or a waste of time. Google searches do turn up some helpful results. Looks like the state of NJ holds auctions online which I'd be a bit hesitant about.

My online searches haven't really turned up any results of anyone buying an ATV this way. I'd be really curious if anyone tried this, or knows someone who has. I've actually found a couple pages with online auctions for my state, but none had ATVs.

I am in the process of puting it back together after replacing the DPS gearbox.
The manual I have states that it will need to be flashed by a dealer. Is this still true?
Also , I have a mystery bolt That I cannot remember where it goes. M6x 70 or so.  Hex head with a flat washer.I will try to attach a pic.
Pic is no go for now....Cox issue I will try again later

Hello from southeast Georgia. Was gifted a 2000 Yamaha bear tracker with out a carb or battery and looking like it had seen better days. Was told it had sat for about three years. Explained a lot. Put a carb on and a battery in and it started right up. Surprised the heck out of me  Anyhow as stated in my opening I am  78 years old with a very long motorcycle backgground but brand new to atv's. Anyone else out here from Georgia? Would like to meet up with some folks for a ride or two. Looks like a great site. Thanks for having me.

Hey all, from SW Virginia here. I just picked up a '01 Bombardier Quest 650 on the cheap (seller couldn't get it to start). After correctly plumbing the fuel pump (new pump the prior owner installed but had the hoses going backwards lol) and cleaning the carb and fuel tank, repaired all the batt - and batt+ connections she lives!!  I had swore to the wife unit I wouldn't be dragging another "project" home but I couldn't pass it up, it had new tires, new starter, new fuel pump and low hrs. All's good after she took it for a ride! 😆 It rides like a tank, very stable and tons of power.

Just picked up a 2008 Big Bear 250. It was sitting for about 1 year it's definitely a project. Currently chasing down a no spark issue. Imagine that lol
Tons of info around the forum. I look forward to learning!
