2000, DS650 - Need front replacement shocks.

Recommended Posts

I have a 2000 DS 650, with stock front shocks.  Bombardier Pn. FRONT SHOCK: 706 200 081 has been discontinued.  I am not looking for a racing type replacement, just somthing that will work properly.

Any assistance will be much appreciated.

Hello boys and girls!:howdy:I need a little help if ya dont mind.I need to replace the rear axle bearings on my 400 but Im going at this blind having never done it before. Ive looked it up in the repair manual but it doesn't give any specific steps on how to do it. I've got the left rear brakes off already as I was replacing the shoes anyway. Can somebody give me a rundown on what Ive gotta do please?I know I need to pull the right wheel off just havent done that yet. Do I need to take anything apart in the final drive or elsewhere in order to yank the axle out for instance? Which side does the axle come out from,L or R? Any details I need to know will be greatly appreciated. Thanks ya'll!

this bike! did this guy sucker me or what.. ok, looks like this means something is bent that I do not see or one rod is longer vs the other?
how long do you think this would last before it ripped into the tire? this is the right side, left side tire clears no problem

I can't for the life of me find the correct service manual for this unit. It's air cooled, not liquid (oil cooler tho) and every manual I find has the wrong front differential diagram (it does NOT have a 2wd/4wd shifter).
I'd be eternally grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. I can probably slog it out from some of the exploded diagrams I've found, but a good "do this, do NOT do that" manual would be a godsend.

      Ross

      Hello folks,
Total newb here, but I just ordered both front and back brakes and they are identical.
There is a video on you tube for the back install, does anyone know if the front install will be the same?
      Thanks!
