Cooling Fan Problem

Recommended Posts

1997 yamaha kodiak 400 4x4

I am not sure my cooling fan is working for my oil cooled engine.  I let it idle in my carport for close to one hour and it never came on,  I already tested the fan and it works fine , so right now I have a toggle switch that I placed on it to turn it off and on.  The thing is I am not sure how long it would actually take for the cooling fan to come on with a oil cooled engine,  so really I am not sure rather it is working are not if it takes even longer then the time I let it idle to come on.  Can someone give me an ideal about it and the best way to test it to be sure before I start buying anything?

Does anyone know how to access the check engine codes on a 2018 450 sportsman. Just changed battery and spark plug . It runs fine but the light is on and I need this to plow snow and need it reliable. Any ideas . Thanks

It will go into neutral, 1st, 2nd, and reverse but nothing after 2nd gear. The shifter moves freely going up completely nothing but when you shift down it works. I’m not sure if it’s tranny issue worth messing with or if I should just buy a new one.  Overall besides that the thing runs like new.

Taken from my car port around 0330 and was taken by at least 2 people found footprints pushing the quad all the way to the road (80 yards)

The VIN on my 2018 Kodiak 450 is not where it's supposed to be. I bought this used. Is there another "hidden" location where I can find it? Need the number for insurance co. Thanks in advance.
