Good day!  Looking to learn about buying a new ATV.  Very green here, but understanding the technical bits.

It will be primarily for garden work and hauling stuff around a rural property.  Want capability for trails, but not the primary use.  I see Honda has solid axle, CanAm independent rear.  Want this thing to last, can do some repairs myself.  Dealers for both close to me.  Are both ATVs close in capability?  Does one shine above the rest?

Thanks in advance!

... as I reflect on this I'm seeing power steering as a must and that puts a huge price gap between new Can Am and Hondas.

...  can Honda really compete for the price difference?  (Over $1000)!

I've been using Valvolene 10w 40 ATV oil but, it's like $8.00 a quart. Is that about the going rate? Or is there cheaper alternatives that would be suitable? Thanks

      Hello all!
I was given a 2000 Suzuki Quadrunner 500 (Quad 500 Runner?) and its current state is a bit of a mystery!
Kept indoors but hasn't been run in 5 years.  We're not trying the engine until the gas is replaced, and the tires are reinflated. But the previous owner said their only issue was stalling when shifting to reverse without giving some throttle.
      I'm optimistic!  See y'all around!

My 2004 Yamaha Grizzly 660 seat is a mess, torn up, cracked, and I have been duct taping it for a while.  I bought new vinyl for $35 and need to do it one day. A new seat used to be well over $250 but now its under $100 so I couldn't resist. I got it on ebay with a 10% off coupon for $85.05 plus tax. https://www.ebay.com/itm/146040022154
In case anyone is looking for a new seat for their Yamaha Grizzly 😁

I saw it on Amazon as well for under $100
