Wow ok, so two things come to mind.
1. The compression release, is it working properly.
2. The timing is 180 deg out.
Are you sure you set the timing correctly?

If you pull the spark plug out and crank the engine how does it act, any binding?

Thanks man, the compression release was the problem. Took it out and reinstalled it and it no longer has that problem. Good thing i took care of it because the ball was starting to wear the exhaust rocker, no scoring or anything just a slight color change from rubbing. Thanks again, hopefully there will be no other problems

Admittedly, I didn’t read every response prior to posting this but hopefully someone mentioned the CV carb is fully reliant on steady unrestricted vacuum. Any obstruction to that vacuum circuit can cause those symptoms. I’ve also had issues with the throttle cable routing being the cause. Ensure the routing is exactly as intended and cables are well lubricated. Polaris makes a good bike, just picky as hell. Get it dialed in, and she’ll run until she doesn’t. LOL

Installed new battery was told that’s what was wrong when hit start button I hear 1 click then nothing?  Can the battery just not have enough amps to crank the starter the first time ? I trickle charged it overnight thought it was enough!

x   just bought this expedition 425 and the Speedo needle does not work. The lights work for the shift indcator. So is this an electronic Speedo or cable? Is there a way to fix it or will I have to replace the unit? Thanks for any help you can provide.

I have an '02 Taurus with 85k miles on her that I just bought.  Today when I was checking something under the hood I noticed this metal line cold and dripping with water...

I had the air on but turned to the position of arrows pointing out of the dash and floor vents only.  The defrost or a/c function was not selected.  It seems to be doing it consistently.  I haven't traced all the parts of this car's a/c system yet but I don't know of anything else under a hood that turns cold and sweats.  Why would my compressor be working when it's not selected?  What tests should I run?

I have a 2000 Polaris Sportsman 500. The Speedometer got water inside of it and it sat for a long time. So now that speedometer is trashed to say the least and i need to find a replacement. I don't want to put up the cash for an oem one so i was wondering if anyone knew any good speedometers out there i could use. I've found many speedometers i like but don't know how i'd wire it up without the same connection points. Thanks, any input is appreciated

Has anyone had any luck putting a different gauge on this machine. Would you happen to have the wiring diagram?
