CraziMagZ put me onto your Forum from another one & like her I'm into Joyners. I've had a good look around your site and like what I read, so hope to become part of your community. I'm pretty thick skinned & don't get upset to easy but I will bite back in the spirit of debating a point. Look forward to knowing you all.

Cheers Mike.

Thanks for your friendly welcome. I have read more in Quad Crazy & it does seem a friendly, laid back, great site with a humorous side to it. NZ is a very beautiful place with some great riding areas, but from what I've seen on the net your not missing out on anything. The only advantage I can see between our two countries is over here, you can live in a major city & still only be 1/2 hour from a trail but in saying that, I would drive all day and all night to get to some of your riding areas I've seen & heard about.

Cheers Mike.

      Hi,
Oddly I'm having  a hard time ordering front brake shoes for my '98.
I'd appreciate recommendations on decent, widely available shoes if possible. Ideally available in Canada on short notice.

      Thanks much,

So I'm Steve. I just inherited an old Yammy YFM250 (91) and it needs a "little love" so to speak. I'm a fitter and small engine mechanic for a living so I have the basics to fix the poor old girl up. But I'm very new to quads. I really only want to use the old girl as a hunting vehicle so performance isnt high on my list of priorities (good thing seeing as its an old 250!)
Anyway if someone can supply a workshop manual for the beast that would be awesome. I'll post some pics of the refurbishment but I forget to do a "before" shot.

hiya, im not really new to riding quads but i am new to owning my own (working) quad. i have a falcon 150, which isnt too bad, bit sluggish on steep inclines but overall far better than the smc r100 i used to own. i have a basic understanding of single cylinder bikes and a less than useful understanding of anything bigger so i may be asking for a lot of help lol. anyway, i look forward to being proved wrong relentlessly and actually maintaining a working bike

      Hey fellas,
      posting from Western Australia.
Been on here a bit lurking and read alot about the Suzy ltf250-300 quadrunners.
Im building one out of two shit boxs so i thought id put back in a bit and post some info on my build.
      Ive got a late 90s 2504wd and a 982wd,both seen better days!
      Frames rusted,cases corroded etc etc.
One had 20,000klms,the other 3000klms,picked them both up a while back for a project in the shed. The 2wd one with low miles had been used on salt lakes in the outback
Lower engine cases corroded badly. So i used the cases off the other one, they were sandblasted and the 2wd internals are like new so in they went after painting.
High comp piston arrived the other day so i"ll get it bored next and finish the motor off.
Started on frame the other day, replace all bottom rails and fronts where suspension bolts on with gal tubing.
      Cheers Goldchaser

Hey all names Sean just joined up. I surfed the forums and couldn't track down anything to help me. Problem I'm having is when I try to start the quad with the electric start it turns over and will cough and a little puff of white smoke comes out of the exhaust. I pull started it the other day and she fired and would go for a bit if I feathers the throttle. As soon ad I would pull the clutch in though she dies. I changed spark plug, oil, starter solenoid. Haven't been able to check compression. Was thinking maybe timing is off? I'm not sure at this point I'm frustrated but keeping hope someone out here can point me in the right direction, this is my first quad.
