Arctic Cat 650 Prowler bent tie rods

Recommended Posts

We have bent so many tie rods on the prowler we started carrying spear ones ,,:aargh:,, we have 4 650 prowlers ,,, but I have come up with a way to fix them, ,,, I took a piece of pipe and bored it out on one end to fit threaded end and other to fit tie rod and welded them to the nut ,, I have several extra ones made up if any one is interested ,,,, it beats walking 20 miles back to the truck [email protected]

I myself love to fab stuff myself but a local aftermarket company makes Arctic Cat Heavy Duty Tie Rods which are made from 3/4" SCH. 80 pipe and utilize 1/2" chromoly hiem joints. Nothing special about the pipe but the hiem joints are a great idea.
