Here is one of the trucks sitting around my yard. It is a 1970 Peterbuilt 359 extended hood. She is in need of some serious TLC, but it runs like a raped-ape. We are hopefully going down to Oregon sometime this month to pick up another one that will be donating a cab and some of the parts we need to fix the hood. Some day she will be pulling the toy hauler that I wish I had.

What are you gonna pull? A 20' super light?

Whatever guy, I could pull 10 of those and it wouldn't even break a sweat.

All the axles are staying on, this truck is probably going to get put to work as well as pull my things around. I have been toying with different ideas for something behind the cab, there is plenty of room there, it has a 265" wheelbase. We may put a little coffin sleeper in there, but then shippers may try and talk you into longer trips and expect you to sleep in the truck. On the other hand, if I can fit a small sleeper and a quad or two in that spot, I can get some dune trips paid for. First thing is the cab and hood, that will take a little while, but I will try and hurry it up for you MWKE.

My ranger pulls the Rhino which is 1200lbs, my quad which is 365lbs plus the trailer the Rhino is on. The Ranger actually pulls very well, I just need more interior room. The gas mileage sucks too.

Probably takes more force than that to get your shorts over the ginormous arse.

You forgot about the tiny tiny gas tank.

We found a cab in northern California for $500, it is from a '69 and it's in pretty good shape but not perfect. Got it up to Roseburg, Oregon where a friend of ours is doing some bodywork on it before we bring it the rest of the way up to WA. No pics now, but there will be plenty when we get the new cab up here and start doing the swap. Now all we need is a grille, hood hinges, fenders, and a bumper.

I have no financial investment in this project. My friend Dave is financing the project, I will just be doing most of the work, which included the drive home, and storage of the pig while it is being worked on. He paid $6,000 for the truck, I don't know if I would have paid it, but it is what he wanted. $500 for a cab and about $250 for an oil change and new wheel studs on the right front, we almost lost a wheel on the way home. About $300 for two one way tickets from Seattle to L.A. and probably another $300 for food and lodging on the way home. So I guess he is into it for about $7350 so far. In exchange for helping him with the project, I will basically have full access to the truck for odd jobs, or whatever, maybe towing a toy hauler to Glamis. In the end we hope to have a clean good looking good running truck. Nothing super fancy, but nice. It runs good and drives good now, it mostly needs a cab, hood and interior work. If you look around, you can find a decent rolling chassis and body for cheap. I saw a '74 in Texas for $1500, it was just a frame, cab w/hood, axles and 6 wheels and tires, but everything was in really good shape.

      Hey all!
I'm on a mission to buy my first UTV soundbar as a gift for my dad(a newbie on ATV). I'm aiming for something that offers great sound quality without breaking the bank – my budget is around $250. Right now, I'm considering options like ecoxgear, kemimoto, and boss.
Does anyone have experience with these brands or specific models that you'd recommend? Any advice or suggestions would be super appreciated!

The studs in the sprocket hub are stripped out. The hub is probably walloed out also. Probably will have to have a new sprocket hub. I doubt I have the ability nor the tools needed for this job. Thanks for all suggestions/opinions!

I added more fresh gas it sat one day now, it's acting up again. Before cleaning out carburetor it wouldn't idle good and had gas leaks from carburetor. Now it idles pretty good but, if I increase throttle speed at a certain amount it starts missing bad. I'm going to try and post a short video. Just about ready to give up on this thing.😒  you can see reflection perking in video.

Hello folks, my machine wound up with I think water in the tank etc. It runs but speeds up and slows back down randomly. When not running I don't see gas dripping  from the drain nipple on bottom of float bowl and drain screw is closed tight. With normal idle speed I see no leaking. When the idle speed increases quite a bit on it's own, gas appears to start slowly dripping from float bowl drain nipple? I'm wondering if the carb is flooding and the gas is actually coming from higher up and just appears, to be coming out of nipple but, is actually running down the sides of the nipple? I put a kit in the factory Mikuni carb last year after sitting for a while and I think the gas in the jug I used had drawn moisture. I plan to pull the carb tomorrow and clean everything out. I was just curious if anyone else thinks it's probably something in the carb and is, acutally a flooding problem? Thanks Folks! 🙂
