Dirt Fest 2009, Monticello, NY - Pink Ribbon Riders

Recommended Posts

Hey Gang....

Haven't been around much - I've been a busy li'l TomD the past few months...

I had the great opportunity to be the event photographer for Dirt Fest, sponsored by the Pink Ribbon Riders and Sullivan County ATV Assoc./NY ATV Online. It's a charity event to support breast cancer survivors and those currently afflicted:

Pink Ribbon Riders Dirt Fest 2009

I also had the distinct pleasure of riding with the incredibly real Brian Fisher and his awesome wife Melissa as they filmed for an upcoming episode of Fisher's ATV World.

Brian and Melissa are just two of the most sincere, down to earth and "real" people that I've met in the ATV circles. I can't say enough good things about them both. Just WOW!

That sounds awfully cliche', but I don't have the words to describe how great they are....

Here are a few pics from the event:

The pink one himself:

A well deserved adult beverage after a long and fun day/ Me, Melissa, Brian:

I'll have an album up soon....I have another photo shoot coming up and

I now work 12 hour shifts, so I have no life!!!!!!

Hope y'all are doing well!

Every year we travel out to Potter County for a long weekend of camping and riding. The campground is connected to the state trail system which is about 43 miles of trails, mostly old logging roads. The trails also connect to Lyman Run state park which is the only state park in PA that allows ATV access. New for this year is the lower campground in the state park is open for ATV usage. The trails are even open for night riding except for the connection to the state park which closes at sunset. In addition, this area is part of the "Northcentral ATV initiative" which most of the township roads surrounding the area are also open to ATV usage. You can travel to different towns and eventually the other state trails in the area will be connected. We put on almost 200 miles in the weekend and there is a country store in a small town called Germania that sells home made cheese which is excellent.

This past weekend the 2019 ATV Motocross Championship (ATVMX) Series, an AMA National Championship, took over Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. Hot and humid conditions greeted the AMA Pro ATV athletes, and the cloud coverage that graced the facility seemed to disperse as the riders lined the gate for moto one. Eighteen riders took to the gate for the penultimate round of racing.

A subcontractor working on the property stole numerous items including the 4 wheeler. The trailer, welder and chainsaw was recovered at the individuals residence. The 4 wheeler has not been recovered. Ive had this 4 wheeler since 2000, all of the children have enjoyed riding it. I would love to get it back.
