Palmer's Farm Mud Bash *10-10-09*

Recommended Posts

Well yesterday we had the last Palmer's Mud Bash for this year, and turned out ok. Well better for me =D

Well yesterday me, and my dad left about 6am from home, and got there about 7:30-ish I think. Since it rained thursday, and friday it was really muddy that day. So had a nice coat of mud on the ATV,me, and a lucky guy asked for a ride LOL...

Worked at the front gates mostly all day besides goofing off for few breaks since they werent doing anything at the front gates so took some pictures, and after I took these I wished I took some better close up pictures on some.

Just curious if anyone is making their home "smart" in terms of plugs, outlets, switches, cameras, alexa, google, etc.  I've got a few things going and just installed some smart switches. I'm pretty happy with the overall setup and got everything on amazon. Here' what I have:
Indoor and Outdoor Zmodo camera pack $75. Bought 2 of these and run them through the meshare or zmodo app. I want to get teh NVR setup and find that these cameras work pretty well.
Zmodo Greet Pro Video Doorbell $165
TP-Link 3 Dimmer Switch pack $99.99 when on sale controlled through Kasa App
TP-Link 3 smart switch pack $79.99 when on sale controlled through Kasa App
      TP-Link smart bulb x2 for $20 each
      TP-Link smart plug $17
Nest e learning thermostats 2 of them $169 each but got them on black friday for $120, have to use nest app
Amazon echo dot 2nd generation, 2 of these.
I also have a couple of fire tv sticks 4k
I also have an apple tv and a chromecast I don't use.

'11 Grizz 700 here.  Since I've got some warm weather these next couple days I've decided to start the bike after about a year of just sitting.  Took out the plug and sprayed a good amount of fogging oil on top of the piston to help lubricate things.  After about a minute of letting it soak I stuck my air line tubing in to suck out the excess, but it seems like I didn't get nearly as much in return.  Repositioned the tube enough so that everything that was gonna come out pretty much did.  I'll probably shoot some compressed air down the plug hole before doing the start just to make sure it's all out, as well as cranking it for a second before putting the plug back in.   How long would it take for a bit of standing fogging oil to seep past the piston rings, and where would it go?  I guess into the engine oil?  The oil was fairly new the last time it was started but I'm sure it could stand to be changed after sitting for so long.  If much of this fogging oil got into the engine oil should I do the change before the startup?
