Have you tried the light after you start the quad with the pull rope. My daughters light will not light up unless it's running. Their should be a starter relay also if it goes bad it will effect the current to the starter. Like Ox said look at the fuses it's quick & a cheap fix finding a bad wire will be harder. You could puul the starter and use a battery charger to see if it is turning when you supply power to it. It's just safer and easier with it out of the quad.

The light does not come on when it is started, the weird thing is at first I could just turn the handle a little bit and the elec start would work but now even tugging on the wires doesn't work and my 4 wheel drive is not engaging, ill check the fuses for but think I have a short, any certain location for the fuses

usually by the battery. for the wiring, i would check where any bodyworks is sitting on them, and where the handlebars are. look for wear marks, kinks, pinching and bareness ... and the connectors.

We had an issue with the lights working on occasion.  Then they just stopped working completely (front and rear). We looked at the EFI fuse and it was melted, but not blown.  We replaced the fuse, but now the ignition will not turn on UNLESS we pull the fuse out...and BTW, the lights still didn't work with the new fuse. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I just recently bought a 1994 Yamaha Timberwolf 4x4 from a buddy who had the wheeler sitting in his garage for 7 years. I got it home and fired it up pushed it out of the garage and tried to shift it and it wouldn't shift. First it would click like it was shifting, but the wheeler wouldn't move and when I hit the gas it revved up like I was in nuetral. After trying some more it became stuck in 1st gear and wouldnt shift at all. But it later broke loose agian and acts like it is in neutral again. I took the motor off the machine to make it easier to work on.After asking friends they were convinced it was a clutch problem but after opening up the casing for the clutch I don't see anything out of the ordinary and am concerned that it may be a transmission problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

I am having an issue where it sounds like the gears are slipping if I hit the throttle really hard and also after letting off when the engine brake is applied. Also, the drive train that goes to the front also rides again the gear shift box. I will attach pictures and a video here shortly.
      Thanks in advance!
