Carb & JB Weld

Recommended Posts

So i took the carb off my 94 suzuki 250 quadrunner today and when i tried removing the pin that holds the float one of the arms broke still didn't get the pin out. Would it be ok to use jb weld on this just wondering because it might be in the gas but it did break off at the base any ideas would be great. Already get ebay but only for a 94 will a carb fit from another year?

I think you can buy different JB weld that is suitable for gas. Along the lines of tank repair if you have a leaking gas tank on your car. Its a 2 part putty.

looking online jb weld says its soluble before drying with gasoline, but once cured can withstand gasoline. damn, that sucks that that piece broke !! that is something that would just happen to me LOL. i know i was real careful taking that pin out, mine was in tight and i used an awl and hammer and tapped it out. i would probably clean the surfaces really good with some type of acid wash for the best adhesion ...

I was using a little nail( to lazy to get the right tool) thought it was moving the pin out but just broke the one side. Still have one more carb to clean lol

      Hello,
I'm new to the site.  My son and I have decided to bring back our old quad from the dead.  Does anyone know where we can purchase a cylinder kit for it.  I think it's a 1986, but will have to check the VIN to be sure.
The last time it ran, it was tapping and smoking pretty bad.
      Any help would be appreciated.
      Thanks!

Does anyone have a redcat 250 or falcon 250cc that they can share where the two vacuum lines on the carburetor that you run antifreeze through I honestly have no idea where the lines are suppose to go to circulate the antifreeze.

      Any help is greatly appreciated.
