so it doesnt turn over? i would suspect a broken timing chain or cam maybe ... hopefully not a broken rod, hard to say until you tear into it ,,, something is binding inside ...

it may even be a valve broken off, as soon as you take the head off, you should be able to see whats wrong ... and yes, good luck to you ... we are here if you you run into problems

Slow down guys. My ltf500F had something that sounds similar happen & it was a malfunction in the pull starter. I pulled it apart & the end of the spring had broken off & jammed everything up. I flew aprat when I took it off so I put it back together how I thought it might go (after grinding a new slot in the end of the spring) & it works fine. It did appear that the motor was locked up but it freed right up once I removed the pull start. Id check there first, then dig deeper. Just my opinion.

I went out to ride my quad today. When I started it up it ran for a minute, then died. Since then it will turn over but won't start. I've check the spark plug and get great fire. I have had this quad for about 6 months, and very new to breaking it down. But need help. Thanks

I have a kq 450 4x4 that I an have a problem with.the bike does not want to move.i am not very familiar with the sheave or clutch that it has on it.my buddy who owned it beat on it prolly never maintained it just so that's out there. The belt is fairly new primary and secondary clutchs are pretty ruff looking the rollers are toast I think but idk. Everything moves fine except for the primary it moves but does not push in to move the belt only at a high rpm will it move sometimes any clue on what it could be other then going out to spend 6 or 7 hundred on a whole new assembly of the clutchs
