  2. https://crossroadscycle.net/shop/1992-1998-yamaha-timberwolf-front-shock-absorber/ Somehow I found new struts in Nova Scotia Canada. Called the guy up there and he said yep they were actually new. I would guess there new-old stock. Would have to be.
  3. Last week
  4. The relay likely clicks because the power to it is being intermittently disconnected. A bad relay shouldn't make the lights flicker, but a broken wire/bad connection will make the lights flicker and the relay click. Did you check the switches are making good contacts inside ?
  5. Thanks guys so when the lights flicker the starting cut off relay clicks as well checked all grounds cleaned them all up and still no starting but push button CDI was checked its good so could the cut off relay be bad ?
  6. I think 15 ft pds is all thats required for the oil pump bolts.
  7. Hmmm! You haave replaced most everything related i would have guessed the starter cutout relay except for the lights flickering , that kind of points to a bad ground, time to start checking wiring connections.
  8. Where was it set , so the faancy screwdriver actually works.
  9. Good stuff.. and is the fancy screwdriver nicely made ? Worked good did it ? I've been thinking of getting one for a while.. but wanted to make sure they were good quality first.. haha.
  10. This might be the right diagram.. Check it carefully.. Check the cdi and start button are wired like that diagram, if they aren't then you need a different diagram. 1997-Bigbear-350.pdf
  11. You need to be sure the key switch you fitted is the right sort for that model. There are two different switches. You need to get a manual with a wiring diagram. Then you need to start tracing the power to the ignition switch, through the switch, and then through either the kill switch or the cdi unit, depending on what wiring that's using. Some models the start signal to the start solenoid goes through the cdi unit before going to the start button, and in other models the power goes to the start button then to the solenoid. And there are the start cut-out relays as well. The bike needs to be in neutral or have it's brake light on for the starter to work..
  12. Ok so little update I been riding it without air box hose to carb off and forget to put air filter back in could this be the stalling problem to much air Now new problem went to go start it no power to key no head lights fix a broken wire RED POWER wire fix that and the lights come on but still won't start with button then all of a sudden the lights flicked and heard a clicking noise from starting circuit cut off relay now I have no lights again what could the problem be put new key switch on and new headlight / start button on still nothing and new starting relay help lol
  13. Ok all thanks for the input!! Fancy screwdriver came in this morning. Used it and choke did not even kick in and almost no black smoke ( I adjusted to 1 .5 turns out and see where it goes). Again, thank for all the feedback.....
  14. https://quads.ddns.net/service-manuals/can-am-bombardier/ Maybe this helps
  15. I think I found a rear shock that matches. The front struts were completely discontinued, no one is making them.
  16. There are many aftermarket ones on Amazon, just find the right size they should work fine, never had a problem with aftermarket shocks.
  17. If it’s blowing black that usually a sign of running rich , if the smoke has a bluish tinge to it it’s oil burning
  18. I’ve sort of done that for the struts by looking them up on parts diagrams not the actual stamped part number on the strut. All I can find are used on eBay not sure they’d be much better than mine. I will do that. Thanks for the advice
  19. What ever it is, it's always best to try adjusting the mixture first because that is (even the hard to get at adjusters), the easiest thing to try. It checks the mixture screw is changing the mixture enough too, which is a good thing to check. If winding the screw a full turn each way didn't have a dramatic effect, then it would be a guide/helpful in the diagnosis.
  20. Idle adjusts down easily, it was low when first installed so raised it. Once it settles down from the cold start high idle it runs fine. But I will say when I hit the throttle, it does blow some black making me think lean. I ordered a tool mentioned about and will see if adjusting it clears the problem. tool supposed to be here monday. will follow up then
  21. My expieience with most after markets is they are factory set a little lean, but Mech is right it is acting rich, my thoughts is try to adjust the mixture as well, and see if it helps, but lean running will also make it idle faster, but it should idle faster all the time not just when its cold.
  22. I just ordered that too;, never seen one before. thanks for the heads up
  23. I don't have one, but these look quite good.. There are other designs of special tools for adjusting the hard to get to bike carbs as well.. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BHYW1PBF?tag=qcforum-20
