  1. Have you replaced the fuses and tried to run it again? I would try that first and if it happens again then there is an obvious short on the reverse signal wire.

  2. I've just recently switched to the Erikson ATV e-strap kit: http://www.ericksonmfg.com/product/atv-wheel-chock-and-tie-down-strap-kit/ I like it... no need to compress your suspension but holds the atv very securely and doesn't bounce slack into it.

  3. I have the opportunity to pick up a 1995-1999 Lakota 300 with a bad wiring harness per the current owner and found this site in search of a service manual. I'm not much of a talker/poster. I prefer to lurk and get the info I desire, maybe ask a question or two for clarification and maybe interject if I have reliable first hand knowledge on the subject. Otherwise I pretty much just keep to myself, wrench and ride.

  4. Steven, first thing I would suggest is getting the starting issue done first. you have to get 12vdc to the key switch. That 12vdc comes from the battery to the solenoid. Then through the solenoid usually via a connector through the wiring to the key switch, Then when you turn on the key switch on. it sends that 12 vdc every where else it needs to go. So check the key switch for 12vdc. If you don't have it there go back to the solenoid and check both sides of your fuses. Check you battery ground too. I'm not looking at a wiring diagram for your fourtrax other wise I could give you the wire colors. Bottom line no power to the key switch nothing else will work. Get it to crank first then look at the carb/ fuel issue.

  6. That shiny blue thing is a very expensive pointer thiga ma jig thats used to point out various components or things ! It has a blue neon light inside for illumination of the things you point out and a ball point for easy movement while pointing to the things! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

  8. I use 1" but the load info is important as anything. I have a hook welded on my trailer and my winch secures the front end to that and then I strap the back with straps I bought at Menard's 500# work load each. Love my idea for front with the winch. It ain't never coming lose from that!

  9. Use quality ratchet straps. Avoid the push release gripper types. For me redundancy is important. Some areas we haul into have rough roads. I use a minimum of 4 straps to secure a wheeler on a trailer. Never broke a strap but have had hooks pop off. When able, I'll bypass the hooks and run a strap through a D-ring and the wheeler attach point. Actually, I prefer rope. The Navy taught me how to lash things down very securely with rope. However it takes time and my wife and kids won't be bothered to learn it.

  10. I have several 1" & 2" tie down ratchet straps, but I recently picked up a set of 1-1/2" 5900 lbs.rating with the double J-hooks. A real nice set for quad tie down.
