I have a 1988 kawasaki mojave klf 110b it will start right up and runs fine but when you shift down you have to use your foot and pick it up and then push it down to get it to shift and it does the same thing to shift up it is like there should be a spring on it to pick it up or something please help

I HAVE A 1997 SUZUKI 250 QUADRUNNER. IT WILL NOT START YOU HAVE TO KEEP CRANKING IT AND WHEN IT DOES START IT WILL NOT IDLE. I HAVE REBUILT THE CARBURETOR AND STILL THE SAME THING. WHEN I DID GET IT STARTED I RODE IT. IT RUN FINE UNTILL YOU STOP THEN IT WILL QUIT. DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS PLEASE HELP:
