Any grinding of gears? Sounds like one of 2 things. Either a clutch kit because it goes into neutral when off. Or a blown gear. Be more in depth on your description. Can you shift when it’s off and not while running? Or what happens when you have it in gear and try to start it? Many factors can happen.

To me. Sounds like it’s jammed up. Does it roll in gear? Can you select gears while it’s rolling? Does it run if you jack up the drive wheels, or at all?

96. And the 2 wires going to the pick up coil 1 is black and 1 is bk/y, what one of them is the actual signal wire and what one would be ground. Bk/y would be my ground and solid black would be the actual signal wire correct
I included a picture of the wiring. Have a browse.

I have multiple sclerosis. I never let it get the best of me. I keep fighting and finding ways to do things. But rest assured I will be here and doing my projects.

Dude. Those are great! I’m kinda looking for something that’ll do donuts and wheelies and extreme wheeling. Im still nutty. Just can’t walk
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkDavefrombc. I’m kinda young at 40. I’m not saying I’m elderly.

Yes. I saw those with tracks and mud tires. My mind is with me still. Hell. If I can make a dirt bike out of spare parts, make it run and drive. I’m sure I’ll come up with something.
Thank you Ajmboy. Your kind words are inspiring.
Just because I can’t use my legs anymore wont stop me from finding other means.

Unfortunately. My illness isn’t curable. I can only hope to get better. As it stands. I’m headed for a wheelchair. Then a hospital bed.

It’s been a pleasure serving all of you. I can not ride anymore. My illness has turned to the worst and I can barely walk anymore. I will still be here helping where I can. I might just get an oddsey and work the s... out of it. But I’m done. I didn’t want to be in this situation. But I have to take it. It’s been so much fun here guys!

I just got a 4 pack of helmet mics with speakers to talk to others while riding. The question is can they link to other devises or does it have to be the same brand. The 4 I have match. But any others like it?

No problem sir. Let us know how it turns out.

They will sell those. It’s tapered too. I’ve seen them there.

The clutch lever you might as well take it off and go to a hardware store to see what works. The same for your axle carrier. If the hardware store doesn’t. Try Home Depot.

I’ve also seen the previous owners place them in the wrong spot or use the wrong shock all together. You’d be surprised at the amount of stupidity is astounding. If it doesn’t sit level at the frame. There is a problem.
I’ll bite into this a bit further. If someone was going to lower it. Wouldn’t the front match the rear? Why only the rear drop? Is it the reversed rake look they went for? I’ve seen it on trucks. Not quads. That’s asking to replace cases every time you’re in the woods. I can see the full body drop for street racing. I doubt you want to do that.

Of course you can. You would need the throttle and the cable. I would check the length of the cable and buy one at the same size or longer. They also make adaptors for the thumb throttle. But to each their own. Just be careful after you switch.

Well how old is said child? And the most common things are axle play. Tie rod ends. Engine knocks. Sloppy shifters. Oil leaks.wheel bearings. And electrical. All are pretty common when buying a new used quad.

A flairing kit. A pipe bender if you don’t know how to bend them by hand. Brake line with 3 male fittings. A coupler.

I had this problem on my Xplorer too. Check to see if the fuel lines are correct. If they are to big they will cause an air lock in the delivery. The way to fix it is take the line off the carb and remove it to the tank but don’t take it off the tank. Crack the valve so fuel fills the filter and beyond. Then put it back on the carb. Take the fuel tank cap off and crack the valve again. Your priming the fuel line. If that doesn’t work. Then the in tank screens are clogged or the valve is defective.
