  1. Here's some pics from within the last month. Rather than build a frame and body from scratch, I drove to Kansas and bought a rust bucket G2 for $40 minus batteries. I've since cut it up in prep for the 1100cc v-twin shaft drive engine. I've included a picture of the of the latest mock-up. Im extending the frame and wheel base 12 more inches and widening the body by 12 more inches as well. I have on order a right side axle shaft and housing for the left side of my ATV rear end. This will widen the axle by about 12 inches. I will be eliminating the front  a-arms and replacing with straight pipe from knuckle to knuckle. I'll post more as it progresses.

  2. What a mess, but it looks like I only need to replace the connecting rod bearing ($29) and gasket set ($30). The hard part is gonna be putting that crank back together and getting it perfectly straight. Ill have less than $200 into this bike if this all goes well. So, i guess im not gonna be cutting it up for golf cart parts after all.

  3. they ran it out of oil and the connecting rod bearing has seized the rod to the crank. i gotta  separate the crank halves to see how bad it is. im googling  now to see if i can get those parts and what its gonna cost. other than that, this motor is clean inside and in great condition. id like to fix it and put the bike back together, otherwise it becomes a donor in a homemade monster golf cart of a sort. lol

  4. @orvilleortiz538 hard to tell what all you have to work with, without being there to check it out  myself but there are places to get the parts you need for those things. I had to order parts for a scooter a while back, you just gotta know exactly what you have to get what you need. I got welders and stuff, so i'd probably do mods if was too much of a pain in the as*. Im turning a honda shadow 1100cc bike into a trike 1st, then Im building a front end for it and a longer frame. Eventually itll be a mid engine 2 seater side by side called Frankie. I just like to create monsters!

Search google and go to images and see if you can find one that looks like yours, go to the web site and see what info you can dig up. Good luck man!!

  5. im trying to not get hospitalized, i got my  new/used multi-process welder fixed up and all put together, got steel, and I want to start doing the mods on the honda shadow so I can get that  atv axle mounted.  That bike is one heavy beast to move around without wheels on it. hahaha.  aand I need the space to put the lift and bigger wheels on my g1 golf cart and the beast honda shadow is in the way! I like those "dont run, been sitting in the shed" deals. Thats how I got my G1 golf cart. A clip popped off one of the linkages and the linkage popped loose from the carb. I fixed that and had to find roller wheels. It runs great, just looks rough at the moment. Itll look tough when I get done with it. Pics for sure when I can.

  6. I've been out of commission with health issues, but I was able to take the motor out of my 220 and broke most of it down. They ran it out of oil and the bearing in the connecting rod to crank siezed. I gotta see if I can find new parts. Not sure the extent of the damage yet though. I haven't got the crank out yet. I was also surprised how good condition everything is except for the siezed bearing. I'm hoping I can afford to fix it but if not I'm gonna convert it to a side by side home-made golf cart and find another shaft drive water-cooled 500cc or so. That's a really sweet looking 220 you got Frank. Your kid is gonna love it!

  7. yeah thats an abandoned honda shadow watercooled vtwin 1100cc with shaft drive a friend gave me. I recently bought as shaft drive axle out of an atv., maybe a bayou 400? Thats why I need several books! lol. Im gonna be building a frame for the honda and eventually turn it into a 2 seater monster cart and was thinking about jeep body replica I can make for it later. I bought the bayou 220 for a parts bike but I was only shopping for that size in used wheels and tires for my golf cart upgrades. I just got lucky. Turns out I can use that whole bike to build another cart if its not an easy fix with that motor. I am torn between keeping it as a bike and chopping it up. lolI do plan to post updates. stay tuned...

  8. i wasnt counting, i may or may not have, how could I possibly have known I needed to keep count when you didnt mention anything about limits. Bottom line is, you didnt have it listed  anywhere and I am not a mind reader. I may have tried to dl 5 or 6, 7 or 8?? You seem to be able to look up my activity so, tell me how many I tried to dl? Dude, I thought this was gonna be a cool place to socialize and what not, but its starting to appear much different to me. How long am I now restricted and are there anymore secrets I should know about? I sure hope we can resolve this.

  9. Well I didnt know there was a limit, and I have a  project that is a frankenstein (it contains parts from several makers) so I did try to look into a few. I just wanted to look, but thats apparently not an option. I have not been able to download 1 thing from this site. If there are limits, you should mention that where you mention needing 10 posts to download, and I should still be able to download something today.
