That could be the secondary sticking, (rear side)

The main thing you want to check if the oil is wet clutch safe. I have been using mobil 1 AT racing oil, says right on the bottle wet clutch safe.

They include the spanner tool with the manual under the seat.

Sounds like you did the clutch update. I did that with my 2012 model because the movable face inner was worn and it wiggled on the shaft causing the belt to get real hot and slip.

Even with the worn parts, belt didn't burn up. Are you using the correct belt and did you install it correctly? They have arrows on them because they are directional.

I would check for rubbed wires in the harness, the steering area and the frame are typical places. Turn the quad on and check the harness. Another spot to check is the frame ground.

Does it have power? blown fuse?

The tires have it on the side what the recommended tire pressure is. I usually run mine at 5psi even for plowing. 

As for what oil to use, make sure its wet clutch safe. I use synthetic.

I am from NEPA and own three Arctic Cats.

That proves the diode is bad and needs to be replaced. 25 amp diode is more then enough and will work.

There is a diode in the circuit. It is in the harness near the fan. You will have to unwrap the harness to find it

Agreed, fan sensor is probably sticking. I had that issue once.

We did a week in New Hampshire to try out their trails. Weather was not the best, but not bad. We rode three of the trail systems there. There are some nice trails and views. Even spotted a moose along the trail one day.

Sounds like a voltage related issue. First thing I would test the battery. If the battery is bad you might be getting too much voltage and that will cause the display to blank out, turning on your lights puts a load on the system and would bring the voltage back down to normal level.

Not knowing the year / model I can only provide general information. Typically if you have 12 volts to your ignition the IGN fuse is good. When ignition is turned on, a relay closes to energize the circuits. Depending on model, some were known for wires in the harness rubbing through and breaking.

Yes they are very good to deal with. I recently broke one of the straps that holds the side down on the wing and called them for replacements. He told me how to replace them. They were not expensive.

I am surprised there are not many on the East coast. For us it was the best option to camp and carry two quads.

If your camping where there is no electric hookup charging it up each night is a problem.

If your on a ride and run out of power, charging it back up with a generator will take some time, probably a few hours.

Over time I have tweeked the setup. I added the propane rack on the front which allowed room to add a battery. I built a breakout box with a small fuse block to power stuff including a 12 volt refrigerator. Since we don't use the bed extensions, it leaves one whole side to store gear inside all the time which saves on packing / unpacking.

The manual will give you all the information about what voltages are needed for spark and so forth.

I owned this model machine, One thing they are known for is the harness wires rubbing on the frame. I have had several electrical problems with mine because of wire damage.  Strip off the plastics and go over the wire harness carefully. You can get some of that spiral wrap to protect areas of the harness. I did this and it solved the problem.

You may have to open up the harness and inspect the wires to be sure., Using a meter to ohm each wire end to end will be helpful. The schematic will give you all the wire color codes.

I also do know the CDI box shouldn't "tick" so its a good bet it is bad.

It is now our sixth year using it and it has been good. It has held up well. It still didn't seem to catch on on the eastern side of the country. I still have yet to see another one They no longer have dealers on the East coast. So if you want one, you order it from them and for $500 they will bring it right to your door.
