  1. my 07 wont run with out cutting out till i hit the override in high. it does not do it in low HELP please its like it in reverse the battery was dead charged it up and now it is doing this did not do it when i parked it in november?????
  2. I was dragging some small tree branches yesterday and my grizzley 700 (EFI) backfired and died. Until that moment, it has run perfectly since I bought it new. It restarts but doesn't want to keep running. After sitting for an hour, it started, ran for 30 seconds and then died again and was harder to restart. It has less than 200 miles, has never been in water, and has good gas in the tank. I called my dealer and his guess was the fuel pump. I don't have a service manual. Is there a fuel filter in the fuel line somewhere? Is the fuel pump in the gas tank? I will probably buy a manual; are the aftermarket ones good enough? Yamaha wants 80 bucks for theirs. Thanks in advance for any replies.
  3. My 2008 sportsman 500 EFI won’t show any signs of starting. I have replaced the battery, when I turn the key on…nothing, just like a dead battery? Any suggestions what could be wrong? Thanks
  4. I have a 2007 700 EFI that I purchased new. It broke down 9.5 miles out on the trail the day I bought it and has been in the shop in two states almost ever since. All warrenties are now expired and I have a quad that still does not run. I have only managed to put 304 miles on it in 3 years. I am a auto mechanic and have technical back ground. I maintain, repair, and build all my other quads and bikes as well. This one has been under warranty and the princable of it has kept me taking it back to the dealers. Now it's up to me to repair it. To start out, it is flashing codes 41, 42, and 43. Can anyone give me code descriptions? Thank you. Larry
  5. I have a 2006 700 EFI. 4x4. I have a charger on the battery and the display lights come on but the digital does not work and the motor just cranks and doeant turn over.

  7. new guy here. wondering if parts are interchangeable between 07 and 08 700 EFI models? specifically body panels / racks - bumpers and throttle body? thanks.
  8. Wonder if anyone can help me out. My buddy had an 07 Sportsman 500 EFI that is missing really bad. It's so bad that it almost throws you over the handle bars when you try to ride it. We all got gas from the same place so thats out and we pulled out the spark plug and it was really clean. The only changes that have been made are a radiator relocation kit and shorkel kit. We thought maybe it was getting to much air but we covered the shorkel intake and still the same thing. Any ideas?? Thanks
  9. After riding my quad for a couple of hours it will shut off. After sitting for a short while, it will start again and run for a short while. It seems the fan is not coming on as it should. Has anyone else experienced this problem with their Polaris?
  10. I just changed the oil/filter but did not disconnect any of the hoses from the oil tank to the engine (screen filter hose etc.). Do I still need to disconnect the feed hose and bleed any air out? I don't want this baby to seize down the road. Only thing removed was the filter and drain plug. Thanks in advance for your time....Bill
  11. I have a 2007 Arctic Cat 700 EFI 4x4 and while i am riding it keeps jumping in and out 4x4 to 2 wheeler drive how do i fix it ? thanks
  12. Hello All, I'm new to this Forum! I have read all the rest of the posting pertaining to the display screen, I do have similar issues and I need all of your help! First off the atv starts and runs fine but when I turn the key on the display flashes until I push the "select" button, then everything is normal on the display. When I start riding the screen starts flashing again. I have checked the connections (used connection cleaner), charged the battery to full, unhooked the battery over night, but it still flashes and does the same thing. Things I still have to try: - changing the gas and putting fresh gas in it - changing the spark plug - checking the belt (not sure if it’s the correct one or not but it runs fine) Is there anything else that I have missed? Does anyone have a PDF of the owner’s manual? Thanks for your advice!

  15. 2008+ Yamaha Rhino 700 EFI The Copperhead® ECU is a plug and play replacement for the stock ECU in the Rhino 700 EFI (not a piggyback solution). It controls the timing and fuel, and improves throttle response. It provides a typical 6% power increase from idle to redline (WOT), and a part throttle power increase of up to 25% over stock. In addition, the top speed limiter has been increased to allow for about 16KPH/10MPH higher top speed (results dependant on tire size). The ECU also allows for the speedometer to be recalibrated for different tire sizes, and fuel can be adjusted for aftermarket camshafts and pipes (requires optional USB interface). FEATURES Multi-Spark Discharge (MSD) allows for maximum power and virtually eliminates misfires, while giving you easy starts and crisp throttle response. Preloaded performance map allows the machine to run cooler, produce more horsepower and more torque, while minimizing fuel consumption. Shipped with machine specific harness that plugs directly into factory wiring harness. Toggle switch on the unit allows user to switch between two preloaded setups. Default preloaded map keeps factory limiters (reverse / speed) and similar power when the toggle switch is in position #1. When the toggle switch is in position #2, all limiters are disabled, and the timing is optimized for maximum power on 87 octane fuel. Setups and maps can be changed and optimized for different fuel grades via the USB Memory Inteface (sold separately). Price: $400.00 Velocity Devices, Inc.
