  2. New from All Terrain Research - Polaris RZR Chassis Ribs add strength to the rear of your chassis by bracing the sides of the chassis together with the existing factory holes and by also tying into the upper and lower A arm mounting points. The Chassis Ribs are CNC laser cut from 3/16" steel plate. For the upper A arm mounts instead of simply welding a washer to a chopped tube like some manufactures may do ATR CNC machines a stair stepped end piece that centers itself inside the tube and provides us a gap for a flush TIG weld that evenly penetrates both pieces. Chassis Ribs come in a durable black powder coat finish. ATR is a group of engineers, designers and motorsports enthusiasts set out to develop the most advanced off road vehicle performance products possible. Bringing years of experience ATR serves as a full service prototyping and manufacturing company developing products for some of today’s leading off road vehicle manufacturers. 4. RANGER RZR Captures SCORE Championship for Fourth Series Championship this Year RANGER RZR wins championships with SCORE, BITD, GNCC and WORCS for 2008 Minneapolis, December 11, 2008 –Mark Lindsay and his RANGER RZR captured the SCORE “UTV Sportsman” championship leading the class with 204 points, 40 points ahead of the second-place finisher. The championship is the fourth for the RANGER RZR in 2008. “Polaris is extremely happy with the success of the RANGER RZR during the 2008 racing season and we congratulate Lindsay on his championship,“ said Craig Scanlon, product line sales manager for the Polaris Side x Side Division. “The RANGER RZR continues to show its versatility and endurance in Side-by-Side racing and with the addition of the RANGER RZR S, we look forward to a successful 2009.” Earlier this season, Lindsay made history in SCORE racing by being the first Side-by-Side to finish the Baja 500. His four-man team including himself and Phil Holdsworth as drivers, and Jason Spiess and Derek Tungmala as navigators, finished third in the Baja 1000 despite a couple accidents and challenges. The finish made Polaris Side-by-Sides the only vehicles to finish the Baja 250, 500 and 1,000; with a RANGER RZR finishing the 500 and 1000 this year, and Matt Parks’ 2007 history-making finish of the Baja 250 in a Polaris RANGER XP. “The vehicle handled the silt, rocks, whoops and sand like a dream,” said Mark Lindsay. “Being the only Side-by-Side brand to finish the various SCORE races proves Polaris vehicles are more rugged than any other Side-by-Side.” Lindsay’s team was sponsored by Afraidium Racing, FST, BS Sand Seats, Maier MFG, Maxxis, Iron City Polaris, King Shocks, ATVonics, TireBalls, DriFire Clothing, RE/MAX Lindsay Group, HMF Exhaust, Clif Bar, OMF and Vision X. Lindsay’s SCORE championship is the fourth for the RANGER RZR in 2008. Jagged X and their No. 1919 RANGER RZR took their second Best in the Desert Points Championship in 2008 starting the season with two second-places and ending it with a dominating five consecutive firsts. Multi-time Pro and Pro Production GNCC Winner, William Yokley raced the Polaris RANGER RZR in GNCC’s ”UTV Open Modified” class and went undefeated taking the GNCC UTV Championship. And, Polaris/Lone Star/Eichner Racing’s Doug Eichner captured the top spot for the WORCS Side-by-Side title on his RANGER RZR with six podium finishes. 8. Charging issues solved with voltage regulator relocation Have you noticed your battery light blinking on your 2008 Poalris RZR? This alarm is telling you that the battery voltage on your RZR is too low. You would think that with a 500W stator that the RZR would have no problem keeping everything running. But even with no accessories and just the factory headlights and cooling fan on, many owners have encountered low voltage issues with their 2008 RZR. One main reason that causes this problem is your voltage regulator. The voltage regulator is designed to automatically maintain a constant voltage level. In doing that work, the regulator will generate heat. Your voltage regulator needs to stay cool to properly charge your battery. 2008 RZRs have a problem with keeping the voltage regulator cool because it is located under the driver's seat. Once the regulator stops working, any power generated from the stator will not reach your electrical system and the battery voltage will drop. Then the battery light on your dash will start blinking and it is just a matter of time before you are stranded. Solve those battery voltage problems on your 2008 RZR without cutting any wires! Our extension allows you to move your voltage regulator from under the seat (no air flow = overheating) to in front of the radiator just like Polaris did on the 2009 models. This is a 10 1/2 foot long extension, using the correct Packard/Delphi connectors and terminals and assembled with correct Packard tooling. The harnesses will be made using high quality Cross Link Polymer wire and covered in high temp, flexible woven loom. This harness allows you to disconnect the voltage regulator on your 2008 Polaris RZR (under driver's seat) and relocate in front of the radiator like you find on 2009 RZRs. November 19, 2008 - Autotrend is currently taking pre-orders for first-run of this harness. Price per unit for this run will be $48.95 plus applicable tax and S&H. If you'd like to reserve a harness, use the email link below or call Autotrend directly. Name, address, phone number and C/C number are required. Credit card will not be charged until harnesses are built. Please note that you will need a bracket to mount the regulator up in front of the radiator as shown in the 2009 RZR photo above. You can order a bracket from your Polaris dealer - Part # - PL5252587. 16. This is the new RZR Front Bumper from RZR Tech. This serves as a totally rigid front bumper and brush guard but also as a heavy duty front-upper chassis reinforcement. This bumper fits the standard RZR 08-09' (w/ removal of the front sway bar) and it also fits the RZR S. The factory didn't give us much protection for the front or rear of teh RZR, or a lot to work with. But we've come up with some excellent solutions that fit well and look great. Bumpers are made from various sizes of DOM tubing in precision production fixtures that allow for easy installation and the best protection available for your baby. They fit tightly to the body, so the size of the vehicle doesn't change much and there's nothing protruding. These bumpers have already proven to pay for themselves in an accident. Don't find out the hard way. For installation, you will need to drill four 3/8" holes in the dash bar for the provided hardware to fasten the chassis stiffener to the frame. Besides this, the kit is all bolt together. There is no plastic cutting needed. Price is $425 w/ Red, Black (or new) Sparkle Silver powdercoat. Price includes installation hardware. Jagged X started in second place with a smaller-than-usual field of only five vehicles. The Mesquite venue was billed as a new race course but the drivers soon discovered that Casey from "Best in the Desert" still had plenty of tricks up his sleeve. Co driver, Blake Van de Loo noted that the course had, "The most silt ever but also was loaded with a huge variety of terrain from 7000 ft pine forest to a trip through the old mining town of Caliente, Nevada, and even some pretty deep water crossings." The Jagged X RANGER RZR moved into the lead shortly after the start when the lead car encountered engine trouble. A little more than nine hours later, Brandon and Blake crossed the finish unchallenged to score their third season victory and to further secure the lead spot in the 2008 BITD points chase. The next BITD race is the Golden West 150 (formerly the AVI 150), in Jean, Nevada, on Oct 25. This is a Quad, Side-by-Side and trophy lite only race and promises to be an exciting event.
