  1. Hello! I'm new on this forum and I'm from Slovenia. I have a problem with my Adly 300xs. And the problem is that the ATV is pulling(i hope you understand that, in the dictionary is nor a right word). And this look like this that while i driving the ATV pull. It is not important or the ATV is cold or hot. And the ATV sometimes ignite very hard sometimes normal. We try change c.d.i. unit and i try with spare key but it is not any different, ATV still pulling. I don't now what is wrong. Is maybe guilty this that i wash one day and the water came somewhere is not supposed to come? Please help me. Have a nice day
  2. hey there...i am new to this forum and would appreciate any help at all. My son's ;08 can am won't start. 2 years ago I replaced the starter. It won't turn over at all. the main fuse is good, battery has enough juice...what else could it be? When i kick start it it fires up. thanks...Brian
  3. I have a 2008 Kawasaki KFX 450R. Looking to put an exhaust onto it, since the stock one is getting some rust build up on it. I have a few questions though, since i would like to do it my self and not have to take it to an ATV shop. 1. If i was to buy a slip on exhaust for my KFX 450R, does anything else need to be done to my ATV besides just taking off the old pipe and installing the new one? 2. If i was to buy a brand new FULL exhaust for my KFX 450R, besides installing it what else needs to be done with the quad to have it run correctly? Is there any jets or anything that need to be adjusted? If so how do i got about doing that? Any feed back from anyone would be helpful...thanks
  4. would anyone want to trade there stock exhaust for an hmf1 forestry approved aftermarket exhaust? The hmf1 exhaust is sweet and sounds good but because I'm a hunter I need the stock exhaust back on.

  6. First a hello to all. First time poster as I just recently found this forum. I have a 2008 500 Artic cat that recently had to go into the shop. Problem was the carb was gummed up from bad gas after sitting for several weeks. I always use Sea Foam and Sta-bil as a stabilizer and figured that was all that was needed but apparently not. Couple mechanics at the shop made a few recommendations for when I knew the cat would be sitting for several weeks. One was to put a fuel cutout valve between the fuel pump and carb and close it and allow the engine to run until it quits. Another recommended to just drain the fuel bowl when parking it. Yet another said high octane gas will stay stable a lot longer than the regular unleaded. Don't know if that last one is true or not. So the meat of my question is do any of you have any tricks of the trade to preventing this problem as my cat does stay parked for long periods at a time, especially during the winter months. Hey guys I am thinking about buying my wife a new quad I found a 2009 LTZ 400 the fuel injected model, for 3500 the guy says it maybe has 5 hours on it and still looks brand new, or I can get a brand new 2008 off the showroom floor from a local dealer that still has some left from 2008 for 4000 out the door, just wanted to see what you all thought would be the best deal thanks!!

Hi all, A friend of mine that I ride with has a 2008 king quad I believe it's a 450 and he has this issue when riding for awhile say 15-30 minutes through water or real soupy mud that the transmission starts to slip horribly in 1st and in 4th. If he lets it sit for an hour after it starts slipping it'll run fine again and stay that way until he goes back in the water. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this? my guess would be water is getting into the drive train somewhere causing it to slip and once the water dries out it's fine. though that confuses me because if water was getting into the transmission somehow there would be water in the oil. Could there possibly be water in the differential making it sluggish? the differential has these strange flimsy rubber bellows hooked to a little pipe on the top center of each one and I have no idea what they are for, it could be possible one of them is sucking water. My guess is as good as anyone's. Thanks
  12. Anyone ride this bike and have problems with how hot the exhaust gets? Mine glows red when I ride and the radiant heat is bad. Kawasaki says it's normal and the bike runs with the head pipe glowing? I don't but that. Any responses would be helpful.
  13. My 2008 sportsman 500 EFI won’t show any signs of starting. I have replaced the battery, when I turn the key on…nothing, just like a dead battery? Any suggestions what could be wrong? Thanks

Winter is about to dump on us here in the rockies and I would likto servivce the bikes. last winter I just pulled the batteries, but now I want to change the oil and coolant. the thread for service manules isn't responding now. Give me an idea of what I'm in for to just change the oil on a 250 and 650 both are 08s.
  15. Anyone having or had a problem with the sending unit regeristing when full but after the fuel level drops about a gallon then it registers empty or jumps to different levels. Sarge
  16. I have the 250 Utility (2008) with atuto trans any one have problems with it. Also is replacing the clutch bearing a long prcess. Dirt demon I grew up in your neck of the woods just a liitle north and west of you.
  17. i was creek riding and my quad died tried to start it back and it would just turn over. so i checked the airbox for water and there was none it was dry, i let it sit for 15mins and it finally started. i rode for about 2hrs then went home. went to start it a week after riding and it would just turn over and wouldnt fire replaced spark plug as dealer suggested and still wont start. i pulled plug out checked it plugged in to the coil n touchin the head no spark. when it s in neutral the neutral light also wont work but if u put it in gear it does until u pull the clutch lever in. i need help the dealer said maybe the stator went bad but another person told me it wouldnt have anything to do with the ignition?? help please
  18. 08 Big Bear 400 - Engine cuts out at idle and low RPM. Sounds and feels like you turn off the key and then right back on. Sometimes it will die when idling. It does this sitting still or moving so I do not suspect wiring. Runs great at higher RPM no cut out or missing. The machine starts very easily at all times hot or cold. I have checked or replaced the following; air cleaner element, spark plug, plug wires and ignition wiring, fuel filter, carb bolts and gasket. There are no unusual engine sounds. Bike has about 600 miles. I push snow with it and it is very annoying as many times I operate at a low rpm and that is when this occurs. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  19. Hello people, my king quad has been jumping in to neutral while at slow speed engine braking if i blip the throttle it re-engages, my dealer cant see any problem when he opened it up, does anybody come across this, is there a sensor for the engine braking system, thanx....
  20. Alrighty heres the deal. I have replaced two head gasket now goin on a 3rd. The second time I had the head shaved cause it was warped(what the dude said) put it all back together I rode it maybe 4 or 5 hours since and now its blow again(water in the oil). WTF Does ANYBODY have a idea on what my problem could be. I keep the rad. clean and I ride in alittle bit of mud nothing drastic PLEASE for the love of my bank acount HELP!!!
  21. i have a 08 raptor 700 and im running a rev max cdi. i would like to change back to the stock cdi but the problem is it wont work. i tried my friends cdi also and it wont work but they both work on his quad. his cdi has always been stock. my other friend has a procom cdi and i tried the 2 stock ones on his quad also and they wont work. is it possible the aftermarket cdi has changed somthing to make stock ones not work? everyone i talk to said they have never heard of this happening

  23. Thinking about purchasing a 2008 king quad 400fs. I see that you can switch between 2wd and 4wd. When in 2wd is the atv in rear wheel drive or front wheel drive?? Anyone have any experience with this atv? good? thanks in advance
  24. i just purchased an 08 i like it alot in the power department but the handle takes some getting used to. anybody else have 1 and know of stuff i need to look out for? also what sand tires/rim combo would you guys go with for the 700? thanks in advance. john
